Why are you spoilering a Mandalorian episode here? I haven't seen the new one yet.[face_frustrated]

Season 2 finished very strong! Looking forward to what is next. Any hiccups early in the season worked their way out. Ultimately the season struck just the right balance of one off episodes and larger connected story lines.

A perfectly solid season with a handful of really strong episodes, but given how little actually transpired on the whole, I really don't see why it needs to be 16 episodes. If the final season of The Clone Wars was only permitted 12, then I'd prefer that The Bad Batch didn't exceed that.

It really could be easily whittled down to 8-12 episodes.

Season 2 was very good imo, but compared to season 1 the overall story arc felt only half-complete. Crosshair’s fate, Choochie and Bail’s investigations, Omega’s secrets, none of them have been resolved and are actually left on cliffhangers. If all these threads are tied together in the first couple episodes of season 3 then it might feel a bit like a lost crescendo.

Otherwise though, another excellent season. Echo’s apparent death really hit hard, Omega is coming into her own quite well too. Senator Choochie was a surprising new addition too, and a great counterpart for Bail Organa to team up with. The season high point was Palpatine’s momentous appearance, and seeing the dark insides of the Empire is equally creepy and fascinating. In many ways, this show has given me the inter-trilogy story telling that I’d hoped to see in Andor and Kenobi, so I can’t wait for next season. :D

In trivia gallery for episode 15 it is mentioned that Tagge, Motti and Trech Molock were in early drafts. Strange that they were removed, since the first two already served on the Joint Chiefs by 14 BBY so they were high-ranked enough even during the Empire's early years.

    A thrill for me was
, after *great heaving sobs* I got hold of myself, was remembering that a WW2 airman fell from a great height in similar terrain, AKA forested mountains, and survived. Others have fallen with the factors of 1. landing at a slant and 2. having their momentum broken aiding their survival. Still, for the story's sake, I wish Tech's sacrifice to be respected and that he remains among the ... fallen.

I just heard a great theory about Scorch being one of Rex's contacts inside the empire. I think it makes sense, but maybe It's just false hope.

Yes I would say so and I liked the first season. The so called filler episodes were mostly not. Ironically the only episode I think the show could have done without was the first. The rest of the filler episodes mostly existed to expand Tech as a character.

Also on Tech. It’s feasible one can survive such a fall as it has happened in real life. But added to that is the fact that a multi ton train also fell on him.

It's most likely Wolffe. We see them together in Rebels, plus Admiral Coburn, who was serving with Plo Koon and Wolffe, was seen at the Summit. So it's very likely Wolffe is Rex's contact, and they will have to help him in Season 3.

Scorch is full baddie mode, and I am kinda losing hope on any Delta Squad resolution.

You know, that occurred to me, and then it seemed the wrecked section of train sorta framed Tech as we watched him disappear through the mist, which brought to mind the Jurassic Park sequence in which the wrecked vehicle fell from the tree atop the kid ... or this sequence ...

I think that might be part of the twist, the clone who we've seen working closest with Hemlock turns out to be the one who turns on him. Also, I think Echo said that they have multiple contacts, so it could be both Scorch and Wolffe.

This season is fantastic. I've honestly been enjoying it more than The Mandalorian's third season. The writing and complexity of its character arcs are great. It's on par with the best of TCW and Rebels. I didn't expect the finale would end on such a down note.

    R.I.P. Tech.

My guess is that there's going to be a huge Clone uprising at Weyland in season 3. I just wonder if Boba Fett will be involved in some capacity.

I was reading someone on another site posting about how if Tech is really dead than it’s bad writing cause why else would you kill hon off?

Huh? It’s a trope basically to build up characters before killing them off. It’s not bad writing it’s good to get you emotionally invested. Man people are weird
