You all worship Luke Skywalker for talking about how he sniped womprats, who have never threatened anyone ever in history. But I am a villain for promoting a population-control program against violent apex predators.

Soon enough there'll be too many Mandalorians running around and there won't be enough bounties for everyone. What then?

Then they will have to legitimately hunt for bounties to hunt.

To be fair if you judge things based on SSW you would conclude that absolutely everything in that universe could kill an entire room of highly trained assassins with a level of competence that would make John Wick feel like an amateur.

My position is that everyone deserves an affordable home, a secure job, better living standards, reliable healthcare and a decent pension. I would invite our friends in the Lycanthropic community to the House of Commons to meet a committee of MPs so that they can air their grievances. They should not be discriminated against, I have always been opposed to any apartheid system.

That was a fun video game episode, and I mean that with more praise than criticism.

The bar is so low for Star Wars (non-Andor projects) that simply remembering you set out bread crumbs and following up on threads is a win. This episode starting doing just that. It also got the children away from the monsters that kept trying to eat and/or abduct them, so we don't have to have that ongoing complaint. Probably. Who knows. Maybe the foundling raptors will still abduct children, only on Navarro now?

Impressed that Din has become the best starfighter pilot in the galaxy.

And I'm sure plenty of Mandalorian fanboys got their rocks off watching that big battle with the pirates.

Setting up the story direction half way through the season is becoming a Favreau Star Wars problem, that's partly what let BOBF down.

I did enjoy the episode, despite how easily Space Pirate Lord and his giant Corsair warship were so easily overcome by a one-man starfighter and a glorified drop-ship.

I almost thought the Armourer was going to remove her helmet when she asked Bo- Katan to do it, that would have been interesting.

I'm curious who freed Gideon. Could it be the Mandalorians who used to ally with Bo-Katan or could it be former Imperial allied Mandos?

Navarro and its two-dozen citizens are saved once again

    I'm leaning towards

Bo-Katan is playing a double game all along. We never knew what was her history with Gideon, how he took the DS from her. She may team with Gideon to take the saber from Djin in exchange of Grogu.

Didn't Filoni have an animated Mandalorian turned Imperial Trooper? Gar Saxon or something?

I think they might have killed him off, but it seems the most likely thing is Gaar Saaxon (or some other such nonsense) freed Gideon, working with brain frying girl who was on Gideon's ship.

After today's episode one thing became clear to me: the "FILONIVERSE" is taking over The Mandalorian.
More and more Grogu and Djin ( even more than Baby Yoda) will be playing second fiddle to Filoni's characters like Bo-Katan and the Rebels crew.
In the end that's what in reality is "OFF" with this season.
See, after season 2 the show should be about DJIN DJARIN becoming the Mand'lor as the Dark Saber user; somehow ( just like Palpatine return) the show become about Bo-Katan being the Mand'lor.
Today one of the characters of Rebels showed up.
Before the season is over we'll see Ahsoka, Ezra the t'wilek girl and many more Filoni's character.
See, that's why STAR WARS IS BAD.

Gideon could be in league with a group of Mandos this entire time. And they’ve worked with or even followed him since his days as the imperial assigned to deal with Mandalore.

This could be setting up a conflict between two Mando groups. Or Bo, Din and company will win over Gideon’s Mandos to their size.

Uniting all Mandaloreans as one group without infighting is where Bo and the Armorer want this to go next.

What was the most awful part?

It seems like Gideon was rescued. But is it possible the other Mandalorians were capturing the Moff to be tried by them?

I would be a little bit more angry if I had lived my entire life by an incredibly restrictive code about wearing a helmet and then suddenly one person was just allowed to not do it at all, consequence free and with minimal justification.

Secondly, the timeline on Machine Gun Guy's child is very weird. That kid is at least 8-10 years old. Yet he was nowhere in evidence during the original season when only the Armorer and Machine Gun Guy survived the assault on Greef Karga. So then we are really forced to conclude that he was a deadbeat dad during this entire period. And also that he is either divorced, or that his wife just got murdered in a brutal firefight and no one else in the family cares.

True; maybe you would make a bunch of signs about how god hates people who don’t wear helmets and protest at funerals. Din Mandoguy: secretly a Westboro Baptist waiting to happen.

What makes me angry is the fact that the Armorer's subcult seems to be based on the helmet rule alone.
It's like they are exactly like all the others but with the helmet rule. Maybe it's a bit of a commentary about the banality of sectarianism, but it sucks from the worldbuilding persepctive.

Do you have any idea how many people died, in our extremely real, extremely built world, over arguments about transubstantiation and consubstantiation? You can at least tell if people take their helmets off.

Edit: Religions split over what outsiders consider the most inane **** imaginable and by all appearances Mando’s cult is pretty hardcore over and above the helmet stuff. This all checks out to me.

As pointed out before, it's stated in the previous episode that the kid is a foundling... so he must have adopted the kid.

I mean, it does, but it makes the developments of this episode even more bizarre. To extend your prior analogy, it's like if Fred Phelps just declared that his successor was going to be a lesbian and the entire congregation was just perfectly okay with it. The key about these arbitrary distinctions is that people are actually invested in them. Which means it should take considerable effort to back down from whatever position you ripped your entire social structure apart in service of.

I couldn't watch the whole episode, but I like how Greef thinks paying tribute to the pirates sets a worse precedent than having the town destroyed and its inhabitants killed or forced to flee.
