I also think some of the homages to other films are a bit on the nose... I'm surprised when Hooper Carson finds the floating ship he didn't discover a Shark tooth embedded in it...oh wait, he kind of did

 

That would be really stupid. Like, the main conflict is that Bo missed her chance, and now she just gets a do-over with the exact same dude.

 

I can't shake this feeling that sometimes the show feels like it was already filmed...and then the Grogu scenes were added

 

I’m confused about R5. So the rebel knew r5 before the events of ANH, r5 gets dumped on Tatooine somehow, r5 winds up with Din Djarin and the covert, and…then what? Did r5 send him a message saying he found some mandalorians? Was the pilot constantly sending messages for several years, trying to find his droid?

 

I'm confused why The Mandalorians in this episode were shooting at people... Didn't they have an empty lake to fire at?

 

I gave it a 5.

The story was good. The direction (pacing, tone, etc) was all off.

 

It’s totally going to happen! She’s going to use her new beskar shoulder armor to deflect his attack and eventually get a hold of the saber.

 

Really enjoyed it. Gave it an 8/10.
Think I might watch it again after work.

Another thing that cracked me up, was when all the citizens of Navarro were running to the lava flats to escape the carnage of the bombardment, there was a lady running with a silver canister similar to the ice cream maker Guy in TESB!

I’ve seen enough Hillbilly gifs over the years of people firing weapons at ice, water, into open fields, toward propane tanks, or hay bales that the idea of a bunch of hillbilly Mandalorians doing the same didn’t strike me as particularly odd the way it seems it did others.

 

Also space is super small. It’s easy to run into ships, especially missing ships.

 

I really liked this episode. And we got one helmetless Mandalorian back.

 

Captain Teva said it was Bescar Alloy on the shuttle. I believe this hints at a Mandalirian group we have not met yet.

Last week the armorer mentioned her methods were more crude or ancient.

Are we going to meet a new group of mon traditional more technologically advanced Mandalorians who work for Gideon?

I didn’t realize the skull faced Mandos on Rebels are super commandos. So we’ve seen them already. On that show they seemed like a different style of Mando, not a next level Mando warrior.

We’ll see what happens.
