Discussion Would You Want Episodes X, XI, and XII?

Having been a mod, I really want to dismiss this notion that you "demand a raise" from Kathleen Kennedy, like we were all sitting on pins and needles waiting for her to hand us a cheque. We moderated with integrity and conviction, without any conflict of interest.

Also, you basically just submitted the number you wanted to be paid, and the system would approve it automatically. It was like free money.

 

Filoni needs an opportunity for a movie - I think compared to other Star Wars directors ( ST ! ) you can't go wrong......

What about a X, XI and XII based on George’s original ideas for the ST? That could be interesting.

 

There's actually a decent amount from his treatments that isn't really specific to Luke/Han/Leia that could probably be repurposed.

 

Wait. Given that you're mods, does Lucasfilm also give you free vespas?

 

There's no reason why a force ghost Luke couldn't help train a Jedi and just work around no Han and no Leia.....

All I know is that they look at all these people doing all this work to make a little money off of YouTube and go 'bwawawawawawawa amateurs'.

 

I imagine that's a real big consideration that is on the table. It would be relatively easy to adapt, and at this juncture, 'story by George Lucas' would actually carry some weight.

 

I don’t think it’d be that easy to adapt, given that it’s more of an outline than a fully detailed treatment. They’d at least need to get Lucas back as a creative consultant.

 

We don't know how detailed those treatments were, but we also know that scripts were being developed too... so I'd posit there's a bit more than a 50 word synopsis. Bringing back Lucas as a creative consultant would be a very wise move... although I'm not sure he'd be interested (but I hope he would).

 

Well I don’t think anyone is suggesting a 50 word synopsis, but from what we’ve heard it was a few pages (maybe 10 or something). That means there’d be a lot more work to be done, which would really require Lucas’ involvement.

 

I don't think there will be any more movies now. Disney seems to have settled for tv series. No-one seems to have any clear idea/vision for the movies.

"James Mangold’s movie will go back to the dawn of the Jedi"

That sounds like a film worth seeing!

"Dave Filoni’s will focus on the New Republic, and close out the interconnected stories told in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and other Disney+ series."

That could be pretty good too.

"Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s film will be set after the events of Rise of Skywalker, and feature Daisy Ridley back as Rey as she builds a new Jedi Order."

Personally not so excited about this, but at least its only one and not all three.

 

I’m just going to assume Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s film is Episode X until I’m proven wrong.
