Is here that we'll do a lottery of guess who's play Thrawn?

 

This looked better than I expected given the current state of the Mandoverse. I am a huge Rebels fan, vastly prefer it to The Clone Wars, so I really hope the Ghost crew is done well.

 

Hera and Sabine look great.

Thrawn in live action finally.

Ahsoka’s rise from annoyance to beloved character over the years has new fun to see.

 

Sabine with long hair was weird to me, but I am hugely excited.

 

This looks absolutely amazing! This is the show I’ve been most looking forward to as a huge lover of Rebels and I’m even more excited after that

 

I think this looks amazing. I agree there's something about the tone/visuals that feels very fresh, dynamic, and exciting, which is something that's desperately been missing in the other post-ROTJ stuff (which has been so stoic and lacking in any firm storytelling purpose).

Definitely still kinda worried after all things Mando, but I'm increasingly convinced that's just Favreau. Filoni is a MUCH better storyteller IMO and I think he gets way too much flack for being too invested in his animated characters. The Filoniverse story/characters at their best are probably the most interesting and fun we've got in SW since the OT and I think he understands what makes the originally SW stories connect with people better than anyone.

I think her hair is long to showcase how much time has passed. This thing is suposed to happen 10 years after ROTJ, right ?

Still processing. So much in that trailer. Even what seems to be a new Inquisitor, which would be a delightful surprise in the post-Empire era.

 

Looks like the white Gandalf robes are history? (Or is this misdirection in the trailer.)

The "Warrior"/"Outcast"/"Rebel"/"Jedi" sequence is telling along with Hyuang's "Time to begin again." I think we're done with the "I'm no Jedi" thing. Everything since Siege of Mandalore has implicitly tagged her as "Jedi".

 

Yep. She has basically been a Jedi except in name this whole time anyway.

 

I keep trying to come up with a coherent comment on that trailer but I just can't. I'm going to have to watch it at least ten more times.

 

Lately, I feel studios know a lot better how to make a great trailer than a great series, so I'll remain cautiously optimistic... but this teaser made me go from completely uninterested in the series, to eager to see where it's going.

Besides, as someone who really liked Rebels, I'm quite happy to see Sabine and Hera. They do look great, I feel.

 

I hope they have an explanation for those lightsabers they still look so bad I don't know why. Still very hyped.

Sabine shows more personality in that one line of dialogue than anyone's ever shown in Mando lol...I hope she still shows up in the S3 but it's probably too late to do anything genuinely interesting with her

Also the lightsabers look fine?

 

I just rewatched it's just the color that bothers me.

 

The lightsabers are amazing, they are Blood Red color if we go by SWTOR and how you can customize your sabers there.
I am excited to see new colors of lightsabers, it was about time.

That looked like some very poor computer game cut scenes. Sorry. Plus no reasonable hint of a story.
Somehow Thrawn has returned. Ok. Why? He's been gone for like 9 years. Hope we get a little more backstory.

The imperial remnant must be pretty desperate to accept someone as their leader who got chased off by some small time Rebels and managed to lose an entire fleet...
