I'd say the same thing for Visions. Minus perhaps the "Twins" short. *shrugs*

Visions could easily fit into Star aware if the WBW opens up multiverses (and personally I hope it doesn’t)

I didn’t read the Ronin book, but I just sort of use Breath of the Wild logic when it comes to canon status: “it takes place after everything else… at some point!”

Young Jedi Adventures is on Disney Plus now but it did not get added to the “Star Wars In Timeline Order” playlist, so I think it’s safe to say now that it’s not canon.

Seems to function perfectly well in the universe without considering alternative universes/ multiverses. Any exaggerated story elements can simply be chalked up to flamboyant narrators.

For its worth, Tenoo was added to the latest official star wars map.

Speaking of Tenoo - the design is really top notch on this show. Environments especially, but vehicles, creatures, and characters too - even if I noticed some of the jedi youngling designs also got reused as normal kids in the town.

Edit: Forgot to mention, music is pretty good, particularly the end credits theme.

I watched the first pair of episodes- it's really good for what it is. I think it should be a very easy stepping stone for younger kids to get into Star Wars before the more "grown up" movies or the teen-aimed animated shows.

Tales of the Jedi isn't on the timeline order either so you can't really go by that. The people making these shows aren't the ones adding it to Disney Plus anyways (infact the people running Disney Plus most likely aren't even Lucasfilm employees).

If you don't want to count it as canon you are completely free to do so but they were clearly making an effort to place it in the High Republic era so it seems they fully intended for it to be counted as canon.

And after watching the show it isn't too over the top. The kids mainly just went on adventures on the planet they were based on and when they left they had them do a very simplistic trip (it's not like they were saving the planet or anything).

Fair point, though I always assumed that the reason totj wasn’t on the timeline playlist is simply because it’s an anthology that takes place all over the timeline.

That might be the reason the people running the site didn't include. However the TCW movie isn't on their either and that would be a very straightforward thing to include (if you click on TCW on the list all you get are the seven seasons of the show).

If I had to guess if this show had come out after Acolyte than the Disney Plus people would have remembered to include it. Star Wars Resistance has a target audience not much older than YJA and they remembered to include it. In any case I doubt anyone from Lucasfilm is calling up Disney Plus and harping on them about the Timeline Order not being correct.

Fair point. The Rebels shorts also aren’t on there, I just noticed.

Yeah I watched a couple more episodes, it's extremely self-contained and there's absolutely nothing that doesn't fit into the greater SW universe. Unless stated otherwise I'd assume it's canon

Holy crossover! I didn't expect this to tie into Galaxy of Creatures. Aree must be really old since some of those have to take place in the sequel era.

The one with the Vectors was fun, nice to see those in motion.

There's also been a bunch of good VAs participating, from DBB as Nubs to Taran Killam as a recurring character and Haley Joel Osment as a greedy businessman.

Looks like YJA is doing pretty well. As of right now it is trending ahead of Visions. Surprised me when I saw that but it definitely makes sense as it is a program parents would let their little kids watch (whereas they might not want them to watch something like Visions).

Well it seems to me that YJA has clearly younger target audience than Resistance. Sure they are close, but Resistance is also close to Rebels what comes to tone and I found those two more similar than YJA which is clearly even for kids not yet in school. Star Wars animation has been pretty confused about it target audience, this was issue with TCW and Rebels especially. Some episodes were child-friendly/childish and some awfully dark and mature in comparison. This sometimes changed in the middle of the episode too which is not very good from point of view of child viewers.

I think it's good that there is YJA for young kiddos and then there is like Bad Batch for older kids and adults. I watched the first episode of YJA just to see how it works and it's pretty good children's show. Not something I personally enjoy much, but I could watch with kids. I think it should be considered canonical despite the target audience.

It's on Disney Plus. Just find the trending list and it will show the top trending titles.

I caught a little bit of it. Not bad, for what it is.

Nubs is the one who makes it all work, though!

I wonder if the Nihil will make an appearance in this series at supposedly it takes place around the same time as Phase I of the High Republic.

Is this the first time we've seen the day side of Coruscant in an establishing shot? That always bothered me.

Seems unlikely they actually have bad guys in this show, like really really bad guys. No sith and probably no Nihil either. Pirate dude is probably recurring "villain" with his pranks.

This show taught me about the importance of teamwork, the importance of self belief, the importance of helping others, and the importance of not being judgemental.

Thankfully i'm not the target demographic for this show, so i'm just gonna ignore these moral lessons and continue to live my life with selfish reckless abandon.

    Nice try Lucasfilm.

*cough*cough* Wow...has it really been two years? I gotta watch those settings on my carbonite chamber...

Anyway, just dropped by to say I'm really loving Young Jedi Adventures. It's a wonderfully adorable show with good characters, good stories and good messages, so I can't really complain about it at all. Loving Nubs for certain. Adorableness personified. I like Master Zia alot too. She really is filling the role of a good mentor for the Young Jedi as well.

Really looking forward to when the next round of episodes drop, for certain.
