A cool look into the connection that forms between a padawan and their crystal, was beautiful and I loved the use of silence at times.

Really loved the animation in this, particularly the lighting and the movement. The use of silence was very nice. Very Zen. I’ve always thought Star Wars could use a little turning down the music and letting the sounds of nature help tell the story, particularly in a force story. My favorite.

Oh my god it never ends with you. Now, you want Star Wars with less John Williams!

This one was nice enough, but it was so slow and so quiet that I almost nodded off.

I loved this one, reminded me of Hayao Miyazaki's style a lot. Aau was super cute and the animation style was super endearing for this sort of story.
See I'm the opposite, I loved that it was mostly dialogue-free, allowed it to play up the charm factor of Aau and her world.

Really strong closer for this volume of stories, even if the narrative arc was a bit familiar. It might be the most purely spiritual out of any of the Visions stories to date, and there were some standout visual moments cueing us into Aau's point of view. The Jedi showing up at the end to save them was a bit convenient. Overall it feels like a more hopeful response to a story like Screecher's Reach.

I liked that Jedi's style a lot. Mainly because, unlike most Jedi, she had style.

Wide brim hats were in Jedi style at some point:

No, I’d rather Star Wars go the Marvel route and just fill up every single gap in dialogue with one liners and pointless declarative statements like “I can’t believe you convinced me to climb up this mountain, Steve! One of these days! One of these days!”

    “Wow! We almost DIED!”

    etc etc

while a selection of 80’s popular hits plays

Look at that. Two of the best Visions episodes featured characters with wide brim hats…

This a perfect way to blend Star Wars and eclectic African landscapes. The setting looks like the Blythe River Canyon. When thinking of South Africa it's easy to just imagine wide open spaces filled with iconic animals like giraffes. Just as easy to forget how diverse the landscape really is. I liked the use of nature in effective world-building around Aua. Calming, healing, silent. No need for flashy battles. The animation style is super cute and Aua is full of character while having barely any lines. I like the Cad Bane hat the Jedi was wearing, lol. I'll give it a 10 just for that. I feel like Aua hasn't been recruited to become a Jedi but something else

I'm not sure what to think about character designs of Aau and her Father and animation style in general, a bit too doll-like really, not something that really bothered too much, but still bit far away from Star Wars universe as we have used to see it. So it didn't perfectly fit in, made me wonder how they would look with different style. Didn't like much of the ship design either, but jedi character was pretty nice design-wise. These were small cosmetic things after all. We have already seen very different animation styles in Star Wars, some are just for more my liking than others. Doll-animations in general are not my thing.

Story itself was good and animation was cute and pretty in it's own unique way, I like the way the world looks especially, nice landscape. That was so beautiful. Very pure and child-friendly Star Wars story with a bit of excitement too. Sounds were nicely done too and it was overall enjoyable watch.

I’m finding that these very different animation styles are making Visions much more memorable than mainline canon animation. So they should really consider more varied animation styles in the canon animated shows.

The Clone Wars, Rebels and especially Resistance were all different styles. The original Clone Wars was a very different style again.

My thoughts are, as long as the story is compelling, I'll take any animation type.

They are different to each other, though not "very" different, as are the varied styles in Visions. And they are all pretty common, mainstream CG or digitally cell-shaded styles (Resistance being the most interesting, IMO). And that results in them all being a bit of a blur to me. I want to see them go wild, as in Visions. I want to feel the kind of freshness that evokes the freshness of Star Wars in 1977.

In my headcanon, this episode was made in the GFFA as a children's entertainment show. It works just fine that way.

The animation style doesn't mean that story couldn't be canon for me, it's visual depiction however may not be "accurate" so to speak. That is my headcanon regarding these things and also errors in movies.

I gave it a 9/10. It was a sweet short with no antagonists and a cute animation style that kind of reminds you of Sackboy on Playstation. The story about Jedi re-purifying the Kyber crystals was interesting; I guess the conclusion by the end was that Aau was a special kind of young Force wielder, with her voice.

I dug The Hobbit meets Avatar meets Star Wars world design of this. Cute story, worked well not having a main villain in it. Thought they bookended this version of Visions with the two strongest episodes with Sith and this. 9/10
