Honestly her lines sound like stuff I could see Han (a Male) saying. It feels a bit like 'generic star wars'. But that is no bad thing, I like that it gives up options on how to deal with situations.

 

Honestly, fett 4... no offense, but what the heck do you like? I mean, even your positive review of Andor last month still skewed kinda negative compared to most people.

 

I hope its not that much of a problem. I mean I can like something while being critical of what I think of its flaws. I also won't blindly praise something because it has a Starwars label slapped on it . I need more than just nostalgia bait that is essentially what say the Mandalorian is.

My very first review of Andor was actually negative, I'd watched a couple of episodes then gave up, Id found it well made but with not much in it plot wise. I then rewatched it and really enjoyed it and have changed my mind for the show and will definitely be looking forward to Season 2. Though I haven't changed my mind on his sister plot line which goes no where and its almost like the writers forgot it. But that aside I really loved it and it definitely has rewatch ability on it which other shows don't have.

 

Those first 2 eps of Andor aren't great, they are practically setting up the bombs that go off in ep 3. As a three ep opener, all available to be watched in one go, it works well. Those two eps on their own? Not so much.

 

Agreed and the 3rd episode is excellent. Also the show filming on location and with sets is far more fun than watching them on the volume do another desert planet too.

 

We will see Death troppers be 45 Star Wanted. Planets we know are Tattooine, Canto Night, Kajimi and the one book planet.

 

...but Ferix is a desert planet? And most of the Tatooine scenes were shot on a set and not volume (volume can't do shadows, so pretty much anytime they are outside in the daylight it is not volume)

A new story trailer for this game is dropping April 9 at 12pm EST, per a post on the Star Wars Twitter/X account.

 

It will be interesting how deep the story for this game ends up being compared to other video game narratives. As it can be challenging to combine that with open world gameplay.

Also if I end up getting this game Kay Vess will just be Aphra to me.

I don't have a current system yet but was planning to get a PS5 here soon for the upcoming college football game that will be released (they haven't released a new one for about a decade because of the whole name, image, likeness thing going on that players needed to be compensated for. If the reviews are good for Outlaws I will probably get it as well.

Seems like on 2:15 is a mix of their armor from Solo and post-TESB comics, neat.

Also Zerek Besh mention from Crimson Reign #5 is finally explained.

 

Pretty meh. That price is ridiculous, lmao. And season pass on top of it. Looks like your typical Ubisoft game, with their typical business practices. 1313 died for this.

 

This looks like it will be fun - and there are just enough hints there to suggest the story isn't ignoring the existing post-ESB continuity, so that's good. I don't buy or play enough games to know if the whole "buy the ultimate edition for the season pass and extra cosmetics" thing is still the usual for AAA games, but whatever. It's fine. Additional story content isn't a bad thing. Make one of the DLCs an extension of the "Dark Droids" storyline, with her commando droid friend falling under the control of the Scourge, and they'll make my week.

 

Well, if nothing else, it sure is purdy, with some really nice design with the Zerek Besh guys and the Millito crime syndicate whose name escapes me. Worlds and creatures too. That jungle planet I think is Akiva looks especially cool to run around in.

I am also intrigued about the potential crew members for the heist. I don't remember anything like that being hinted at before, so I wonder who they are and what role they play in gameplay.

I hope the various criminal factions get ships too and you aren't just blasting tie fighters the whole time.

That sarlacc growing in the side of a cliff?

....Hey, wait a minute, that looks familiar - like the sarlacc den that the Kyrat dragon moved into after it ate the sarlacc...and there is a krayt dragon in this trailer. Will...will Vess lure the dragon to the sarlacc for some reason? Is the whole mess with Mando and Freetown Vess' fault? So much innocent Bantha blood is on her hands!

 

Based on who and what we see in the trailer, does this game look like it takes place post War of the Bounty Hunters but pre Hidden Empire?

 

Seems like that, Crimson Dawn revealed itself, but still works with other criminal organizations instead of running from the Empire.

 

Interesting to see with such a definite timeframe.

I wonder how much the comic story will be worked in. A lot of that stuff seems honestly kind of crazy and hard to explain, but big enough it is hard to just kind of ignore. Plus, as mentioned, the fact that the Zerek Besh guys got a cameo in the comics while being a main focus here sounds like there was a connection to the stories built right in even a while back.

Also, I think the bounty hunter antagonist from the trailer has shown up in some recent comics as well.

 

I am not sure about strong connection, it seems to be a similar case with the Second and Ninth Sisters appearing in Vader series way before Fallen Order release, with Soule getting access to info about future game and just showcasing characters from there in his work.

 

I like the look of this but it also gave a good sense of gameplay, despite being a story trailer.
