Discussion Lando Lando's not a TV Show, he's a FILM.

Interesting, however, hope that Lucasfilm leave them do the best.

 

I am sure Glover can write an amazing script for this show. Plus I think he’ll put in an even better performance knowing it’s his own project

 

Excellent! I've been hoping for this. Nonbinary Lando is a great character to focus on, IMO. Much more interesting than Han. In fact, I hope they keep Han totally out of it, or if he's part of it, as a sidekick or straight man (literally).

 

This has aged poorly.

also yes Lando can probably seduce anything with consciousness and sentience.

 

Good news to be sure, but I suspect there will be one or more shoes to drop before this enters production.

 

This makes nice headlines but I do really doubt this show happens given that they are going to cut down on streaming content.

 

Oh likely. But it does mean it’s still happening as of right now

my thoughts on that is that a lot of stuff was cut behind the scenes that we never even heard about. Plus when you have someone of Glover’s talent you don’t waste that.

 

All it really means is that it is still being worked on and isn't an idea that has been completely given up on. Which doesn't really mean a whole lot as there are lots of things that are technically being worked on at any one particular time. Doesn't mean anything though in regards to rather they would give the show the greenlight and begin putting significant resources into it.

This is great news. If he brings the writing, acting and directing energy of Atlanta to the Lando series, this will be amazingly fun.

 

Really excited to have some news about Lando. Fingers crossed that the starting pistol is fired and it can begin to head towards a finishing line.

Also glad that SW TV content hasn't saturated TV production and diluted quality like the MCU has done. (Sure, there's been criticism of SW content but I think it would have been worse).

I don't know who the guy was who has been dropped, or why, or what it could change. Always feel a bit sorry for people dropped from SW though.

After thinking this show was not going to happen, hope has been kindled again. It’s the spiritual continuation of Solo I’m looking for.

Very jazzed that Donald and Stephen Glover are handling this. Their work on Atlanta produced one of the most singular and bold TV series I've ever seen, and while I don't expect them to push the boundaries nearly as hard on Lando, I'm sure they'll approach it at an unexpected and fresh angle.

Please just call it The Calrissian Chronicles.

 

Well BDW had his son involved in ROTJ so it's not a first for someone playing Lando.

 

This is what I’ve been hoping for. Atlanta is wonderful. This is good news!

EDIT: Today I learned that BDW had a son at age 23 who was 21 when he was an extra in RotJ. Really puts into perspective how old BDW is now, as well as how young he was when he had his first child.

 

This is great news. I actually loved Solo, and Erenreich and Glover's performances as young Han and Lando were spot on IMO. I have been wanting to see more! I HOPE this could mean we may get a bit of Erenreich's Han again, even if only a cameo!

Now I just hope it doesn't get postponed/cancelled...which seems the norm these days.
