A breakout episode? But Kino Loy can't swim and Tantiss is surrounded by a river?

 

This is where the fun begins

 

Kino Loy mouthing 'McClunky' was a lot of fun and when he actually revealed having wings due to being an ex-clone with additions, that was a fun twist.

 

Good to see a returning character from season one from an episode Many thought were filler

 

My exact thought when I saw him was, "There's no such thing as filler in a Star Wars animated show!"

Had some great monster action in this episode, something The Bad Batch has always done well. I was a bit disappointed that Daniel Logan only voiced one of the three young Clones. No disrespect to the other voice actor (who was great) but he should've been allowed to voice all three.

Perhaps his specific character will return later in the season, and have a more central role?

Also, might be an unpopular opinion, but I like that the Batch have split up, to cover more ground and continue the fight on other fronts.

 

I had a feeling they would do something like that

anyway it was real cool to see clone cadets again.

 

Will not be surprised if creatures from the lab will be revealed to be the product of the Empire experimenting on Drengir's samples in some sourcebook.

 

Mother****ers really created the Flood

 

Aerial bombardment of cloning facilities known to house children - this show is doing an Andor in terms of showing how grotesque the empire really was.

 

Also the first direct canon mention of Base Delta Zero

 

The Empire made the flood and bombed children

Fine episode, a fun episode between the chaos

Arguably a "filler" episode, but not in a bad way. To me, it has the feel of the two episodes with the kids in the mine from last season. Those weren't the most forward-moving in terms of the overall plot, but had good character development for the team. This episode was a good one for overall clone psychology, and post-Clone Wars fallout, IMO.

The Devaronian battle armor was pretty cool, too.

Ah.

 

Killer weeds attack! I know my son will like it, but it was a step down from episode one. The vines had a 1980s claymation effect to them which I noticed. Really neat. Still lots of fun and good seeing the young clones who unimaginably escaped that place. Glad they didnt disown their friend or the batch. In the end they got no where. I'm guessing the clone kids will be part of the crew now?

 

Durand crime family are quite stylish people. Also was great to see an original Pyke design after abysmal one from TBoBF.
