1. Dawn of the Jedi-Out of all of the films I find it the most interesting given it's far removed from the OT time period so they have to craft distinct iconography.
2. New Jedi Order-Despite the overdue premise of reviving the Jedi Order, right now I'm cautiously optimistic.
N/A. Mando&Grogu/Filoni's film- Never cared for the Mando era so I have zero interest in either films

I want the Jedi to finally get out of extinction, but the caution comes from how they approach it. I want to see if they genuinely want to move the story forward or still find a way to aggressively cater to the "OT or bust" crowd.

 

I think they find the concept of jedi being a rarity more interesting. Its not like jedi ain't popping up everywhere anyway.

 

A rarity is different than "last Jedi trains new Jedi, again"

 

I want thousands of Jedi on the screen at all times. Whenever the thousands of Jedi are not on screen, all the other characters should be asking "where's the thousands of Jedi?"

 

Yes. it makes them less special.

Was Luke the last jedi after episode 6? I dunno. Seems like new jedi pop up all the time and everyone in universe is like whaaaat is that one of those them there Jedi i heard about!

The universe goes on and jedi or force users pop up here and there anyway but are also talked about like they are a rare breed. Training a new jedi group is less fun because they ain't rare anymore.

Rey will probably train a very small group.

 

Take a different approach and see them as a school of wizards and witches like Harry Potter.

 

On screen yes Luke the only Jedi. And we get the same thing in the ST.

And 100 Jedi is still rare in a wide open galaxy of trillions.

The idea that Jedi can only shine when there’s so few of them around have a very narcissistic attitude towards it. Plus I’m bored as hell of the “lone Jedi” narrative.

So I really hope that the Rey film has at least 10 more Jedi established at the start and more joining her later on.

 

I sorta given up on that idea the moment Ahsoka came along. Not just ahsoka but baylan and his apprentice. Now are they Jedi? No and thats probably the cheat. Baylan is an ex Jedi who survived since the Clone Wars. As long as they say "im no jedi" they can exist i guess. But they still feel like they count anyway. Just using the name Jedi doesn't change the fact that these kind of former PT characters exist. but are still rare when they show up.

Now the alcolite is said to have so focus on the Jedi order. Even though they are mostly centered on the lesser Sith. but hey, we will see how that goes.

 

When does Ahsoka show up in the movies?

Yes. The Mando show starts to fix what the ST repeated once again, which is Exiled Jedi teaches New Jedi storyline. Where the Jedi are kept to 1-2 individual characters per movie.

And you can barely give up on it. We haven't seen it yet. Ahsoka or not, we still don't have a New Jedi Order, or with multiple Jedi running around.

 

Have to ask Filoni about that one.

 

And has it come out yet? No.

We can't include the potential future, in the past and current repetitive storylines. So yeah. Great. Add in Ahsoka one day. But she's still just one lone ex-Jedi, who's maybe have trained one new Jedi student. And now she's maybe in exile, no less. lol.

When we get Rey, who's in charge of a new order, with actual Jedi knights and whatever, and the story is partially about their interactions as an order, and not just "Rey teaches her first Jedi" storyline. Then we can talk about the cycle being broken.

 

Rumor is that Jude Laws character in Skeleton crew is also a Jedi or ex Jedi. I dunno. More are turning up all the time. Its that whole thing that tv and film likes to do where the last of a kind is more appealing.

 

most of those jedi will be younglings, padawans, youth, etc, but nevertheless i'm hoping for at least a group of them

 

It's easily Rey's New Jedi Order for me because she's the character I care about most. Dawn of the Jedi after that, but we'll see if it ever gets made since it's not Mangold's top priority at the moment.

I’m ready for a new start w new characters not tied to anything we’ve seen before. The sky is basically the limit w a movie set 4000 plus years before the OT

 

I just want Star Wars to keep moving forward, so no prequels. Set it hundreds of years after the ST.

 

I get that, but I also don't. I mean, it's all fake space history. So why does it matter when in that fake space history they happen?
