...in California Actually it's Friday in many places of the world due to the planet positioning and stuff. Like it was 7 pm on Friday for me when I was stationed in Korea before I could start talking to my family at home as they're just waking up. Friday marks the time for many as the start of the weekend, time off for family, fun, rest, sports, whatever as long as it's not work. Those of us who have to work it though have to make a different day our friday...depending on schedule. So, what are your Friday plans? Anything you particularly do?
I’m home alone and having to wait for a housemate’s delivery because they’re out of town. And then after my terribly boring work day, I’m going to the gym to feel good and possibly get sushi.
Well, I was supposed to work until 11 tonight, but I seem to have come down with the flu or Covid or some **** so I took the night off, and I'm considering watching Pirates of the Caribbean, The Mummy, or something similarly escapist fun.
Just to point out the obvious, whichever franchise you go with, only watch the first one. The sequels don't cut it.
So I've finally got a new job after searching since I've been out of the Army. I've started overnights now, so I'm trying to get used to this new sleep schedule for myself.
Well, I just finished an hour ago with work, after a long and exhausting week, and now I get to go home and work some more because I accepted a new position at my school, which requires certain online documents to be prepared. But I'll enjoy my Friday night with a good meal, some Civilization 6 followed by some SWTOR, maybe Law and Order SVU with the wife, and possible an alcoholic beverage, but not more than one. And tomorrow is the best holiday of the year, so there's that. And I am a teacher, so starting June 20 I will have 62 consecutive Fridays. So there's that as well.
Four more years, five tops. Not that I’m counting. Anyway, on Friday I go to bed around 9 p.m. like I do the rest of the week but then I don’t have to do anything when I get up early the next morning, unless I go run. I was planning to watch baseball tonight but there’s a rain delay.
Got beers with the work mates, finally got home, was supposed to start building a greenhouse tonight but now it's dark so....
I just got back from the usual Friday night fire pit at the neighbors' house. We happened to look up at the stars and the sky looked very strange. Did y'all know about the solar flares triggering widespread aurora borealis? The colors were amazing. I'll share pics when I can.
