30 seconds of interesting stuff, the other 30 minutes crawled along. The Khofar set looked incredibly cheap, albeit an expensive cheap set. Even those two shots of the ships landing looked rough. I am interested in who the Sith master is but the other characters outside of Sol aren't doing much for me, certainly the case in this episode.

I loved the episode ending, but I’ll argue the series probably could have mashed multiple of these early episodes together into longer, hour-long episodes, and probably worked better.

This particular episode moved us well along the path of the season-long story, but feels like it probably should have come out last week in terms of timing, or maybe even had some parts of last week’s episode added to this one.

The tension in this episodes last half was perfect=P~, but having the ending come down after only 30ish minutes feels like trying to reach an episode count rather than fine-tuning the pacing.

(Also, Qimir is clearly either the Sith Apprentice or Master, either watching over his own acolyte in a double bind or scouting out a replacement apprentice.)

I am really annoyed we have not had a good look at Mae's ship yet.

The ‘Sith Lord’ and the assistant assigned to Mae, are they the same person?

Agree that weaving last weeks flashbacks in with this weeks trek through the jungle would have been ideal. Sucks having to wait another week to finally get to some plot forwarding but at least it appears we’re finally there.

There’s not enough meat on the bone to justify the weekly release schedule. All 8 episodes should’ve been dropped at once.
This episode got good 5 minutes before it ended.

Initial assessment a 7 there were some great moments, but it was down weighed by some clunky CGI and some very stale acting. At some points. Also Mae’s about turn was really out of nowhere.

also this was only 25 minutes which is ridiculous

Pretty sure Qimir is the Sith. And pretty sure "kill a Jedi without a weapon" was his final lesson - and he was using Mae to do it. And then once he realizes she aint ... he goes and just does it himself i suppose.

I liked the journey of this episode, but yeah, would have liked to have seen maybe 1 more minute at the end there. Just a few clashes with sabers.

I think they did well with making the world feel real and expansive, even when shooting on small sets. Although I think the forest sets should have been way more uneven. Like they should have been jumping down 25 feet here and there. It did feel like a set at times.

Yeah, it felt like filler. Just walking from point A to point B. And man, that pacing is something else. It sometimes feels like a disjointed collection of scenes mashed together with powerpoint transitions. It's so rushed, and yet felt so dragged. Really weird stuff. And the transitions are really overused. You don't use them to transition between literally every single scene.

Mae not wanting to be the Acolyte anymore came out of nowhere. Another defector story. No one in Disney Star Wars can simply commit to being a villain, I suppose. Oh well.

I loved Qimir, though. Obviously, he's the Sith Lord. But I like his bumbling, clumsy fool persona, when he's actually a ruthless Sith Lord. Darth Jar Jar if he real, I guess. His smiley face mask makes sense now.

Lee Jung-Jae’s accent really stood out in this episode. He was difficult to understand at times.

It was a magnificent cliffhanger. I wouldn’t change a thing about it. I’m dying to see what happens next and that’s a good thing!

Pacing issues I can see. But filler? Filler would be a random episode about something else. Like in true X-files sense. It would watching another Jedi on some non-related mission.

I think in the end, this series would have been better released as a whole. Just let people binge it at once. I like the once a week approach more when episodes are in the hour mark, that way enough happens each week to warrant the progression. Here we just get a bit ... and then boom, we have to wait another week.

After all the jokes earlier, there actually was a kind of hamster in the episode! The CG on that looked a bit ropey to me. Otherwise, I enjoyed it. Mae's change of heart seemed a little sudden, but I'll let that go. I read the first couple of paragraphs of a review earlier and it teased that the episode ended on a cliffhanger .. and it certainly did! That's a whole bunch of Jedi who have now encountered a masked figure wielding a red lightsabre. In the words of Ki-Adi-Mundi in TPM: “The Sith have been extinct for a millennium.” So, I wonder what happens to all these Jedi if the TPM-era Jedi still believe the Sith to be extinct. Do they die at some point, Master Sol included, before being able to alert the Jedi Council? Hmm.

Ditto. No problem with understanding him. I'm pretty sure that I read that he doesn't speak great English, but he's doing a great job and is still the stand-out character for me in this series.

Felt like an episode of a web series. Reminded me of that Dragon Age series I watched on YouTube like ten years ago.
