No more shoveling snow off your car or moving it all the time! Having a garage is a great achievement. Congrats.
Double posting just to say Missouri actually DOES make you parallel park... Even though you will never actually do it in Missouri and will do it at least in LA all the time.
yeah I get days like that. I think that some days the chemicals in our bodies produce a rather strange brew, and you just wait for it to wear off.
It's Father's Day weekend, so we're headed to Gettysburg where my in-laws live to celebrate. Also, we didn't get to celebrate Mother's Day as my mother-in-law was out of the country, so we'll be celebrating that as well. She wanted a Ninja Creami ice cream maker so we got her one. Looking forward to some pool time and grilling and drinking. Anyone else have Father's Day plans this weekend?
My besties, some more exciting news. My sister and brother-in-law have also purchased a house, 15 minutes away from me. Pretty expensive and it looks to be a fixer upper, but it's in a nice neighborhood like my place is. They're moving in later on this summer But most importantly, my cat has finally accepted that we've moved from her apartment, so she's no longer hiding under the bed and meowing sadly at night. She's actually gotten much sweeter, she loves mom, will always greet her when she visits and let her hold her I'm not ready to get a dog just yet, but mom really wants that to happen
My dad disinherited me several years back, so we only speak a handful of times a year, I don’t think he cares if he sees me or not. The immediate fam and I are going to a dance performance tomorrow afternoon, and a nice lunch before the show. HFD to all the JCF Dads of two and four legged children.
I mailed him an invitation to the only address I had for him. He didn’t get it because they stopped getting mail there because mail was getting stolen. It was a huge ordeal of him screaming at me over the phone and ended with him redoing his will. I’m his only child, you’d think he would see that I had no control over something within the postal service, or reading his mind that his address changed.
Well I just lost my job. I am(was) a delivery driver, dropping of the bulk of freight for a given retail store. A few months ago an investment company and a delivery company snaked a couple of big customers from us. BUT., we were doing fine. In fact we were (told) profiting better than before because the big names they took had razor thin margins and that the other company was in the red. WHAM! Emails and texts, we are closed for business, do not come to work. Happily I have about 4 months of cash in the bank and I have 20 years of experience. So I'll be fine though at the moment I have that nervous feeling from the news.
