Haven’t you heard? Bazil is Qimir’s Sith master. It’ll be two Bazil’s in a trenchcoat with a red saber.

Loved it. The lightsaber combat was insane. Quite possibly the best ever. Also great to see the Jedi hand to hand fighting too. I literally have no idea what to expect next, which is incredibly welcome.

I agree with what you say about Vader. Kylo Ren seemed like he used the helmet as a security blanket even having it put back together after the Emperor reveals himself. He wants the protection again. I never thought it had properties like Magnetos helmet.

Why are we placing the Jedi in this show at the same level as the best of the best who fought Palps in the prequels? It’s not necessarily that Qimir is more powerful than Palpatine. It could simply be that the Jedi he fought were more powerful than…Yord and Jecki and the red shirt gang.

This guy is also ... what... 30-35? And pretty ripped. And Palpatine is in his 70s by the time of ROTS.

And yeah, these didn't seem like the A-Team of Jedi. Outside of Sol, Jecki, and maybe Yorn the rest were about as skillful as the Jedi in the Accounting Department.

I mean, when I saw those other Jedi in the fourth episode, I literally said "red shirts". Seriously, one of them at least should have worn a red tunic.

The way I took it was he phrased it that way because he knew, but he didn't want her to know he knew. I could be totally wrong but that's immediately what I thought when he said it that way.

Sol has become the main character after all these episodes, I sorta saw Laura from Logan was going to bite it but not that nasty (triple stab!) And I thought haircut was going to make it through. But now there's the twins who aren't exactly the most compelling protagonists, they seem kinda whiny. The Sith is way cool, I have zero problem it was obvious, sometimes there's things the audience should figure out and it makes the most story sense from the characters available. So yeah the Sol and Sith show, guest starring those two twins

Remember that this group was assembled from a group of Jedi that didn't even wanna inform the Council of their mission. There wouldn't be any high-profile masters assigned to this group and certainly no member of the Council, obviously. The yellow sabers are, I assume, Temple Guards (so, Knights). Jecki is a Padawan. Yord is a recently-promoted Knight (and also a Temple Guard). Was Sol the only master of the group?

Either way, the poor Jedi thought they were just going to arrest a lone-assassin in the woods -- a task for which the group was certainly overqualified -- and ended up facing a Sith Warrior.

I felt exactly the same way...wait, you are talking about the generic greenscreen Jedi horde that got stomped like bugs by the Geonosians in AotC, right?

Well the Jedi were outnumber on Geonosia. If they could take on army of blasts and assaults they wouldn't need the clones at all.

Superb episode, in an ever increasingly brilliant show.

Loved it from beginning to end. That lightsaber fight went on for nearly the whole episide! The Sith guy is awesome too!

I gave it a 7/10, which is the best rating I've given any episode of the series to date.

This was certainly a more darker episode; among those that some might suggest was.....memorable? So the OP Sith winds up killing off the expendable Jedi right away (including who I thought was Plo Koon). Sol confronts him alone, and Jecki takes on Mei to arrest her. Aside from the one-and-done killing off of the expendables, there were certainly some good fight scenes in this episode. Jecki herself eventually confronts the OP Sith, and of course that's a death wish. We find out who this mysterious Sith is..dum...dum...dum.....it's Qimir. Wow, didn't see that one coming....Then the twins reunite_and fight. Mei walks away, cuts her hair, and it's pretty obvious that she's taking her sister's place to return with Sol. How Sol couldn't sense that it's the wrong sister through the Force...maybe they'll explain that in the next episode. And how Qimir couldn't sense that it's Osha and not Mei on the ground, same thing.

well, he just watched his padawan die, and also yord, and also this wouldn't be the first time we've seen a dark sider mask their identity from the Jedi

and also he doesn't say her name while they are heading back to the ship, so it's entirely possible he does notice

But if that's the case, why would he just leave Osha alone with Qimir?

Well, that was entertaining. Did not expect all those redshirt Jedi to die all in this episode. I for sure thought they had bigger plans for Jecki.

    A few thoughts:

    This part was interesting:
    Sol: What are you?
Qimir: I have no name. But a Jedi like you might call me... Sith.
    Sol: Why risk discovery?
Qimir: Well, I... I did wear a mask.

First, I think it's good writing that Sol realizes all that "Sith" implies; he realizes that if the Sith are apparently still around after 900 years, they must have been acting in secret. Hence the logical follow-up question, why risk discovery?
Second, Qimir doesn't actually answer the question. I think that's telling; why would the Sith risk discovery at this point? I'm guessing we'll learn the answer to this, but right now I think it's one of the show's most important questions.

Third, and this is just a loose brain fart; consider Qimir's phrasing ("might call me Sith"). Is it possible he's not actually a Sith of the Bane lineage, but "just" a darksider wannabe? He doesn't even have a Darth name. I would not be surprised if, near the end of this season, he finds himself cornered by the actual two Sith near the end of the series, who kill him claiming he's interfering with their plans, or something. Then again, that's probably too far-fetched.

    Another loose thought:
    Consider the episode titles:
    1. Lost / Found
    2. Revenge / Justice
    3. Destiny
    4. Day
    5. Night
Now, 4 and 5 were originally supposed to be 1 episode (right?), so I'm assuming its title would've been "Day / Night." So all the episodes have (would've had) two-word titles, except the flashback episode. I think that indeed means we'll have another flashback episode.

It is far more likely that this all ends with Osha turning to the Dark Side and then dying, whereupon all the Jedi will say "See? It's exactly what we said happened from the beginning. Former Padawan went mad. Case closed".

Well. It doesn't make them look really awful. It makes some of the Jedi more concerned with keeping the lie that there is peace, instead of revealing the truth, for that lie allows them to remain in power and keep whatever peace actually exists from dying out completely. Because perhaps the alternative is far worse to them.

And this IS literally what Palpatine told Anakin what the Jedi feared most. Those with power fear losing that power. You think that's a new thing? Some PT recent occurrence? A 100 years before that night at the Opera House isn't that long ago. The Jedi Order is an institution. One heavily entrenched within the Republic. The two almost go hand in hand. Surely there are going to be Jedi who want to protect their place as the authority on the Force within that Republic system. Palpatine learned this from seeing and dealing with this Order his entire life and these lessons may have even been handed down to him, by someone far ... wiser.

That said, it still doesn't make ALL the Jedi awful. However, the Jedi failed for a reason. Hubris. Arrogance. Blindness. Maybe even devotion to rules, when a little bit of "living in the moment" flexibility, might have helped in the long run.

And as others theorize, the Jedi might not even buy this guy's story. He says he's a Sith. Not a chance. He's a fake. A wannabe. Someone dangerous. But not Sith. For that is ... impossible.

I ll be fair with a 3 as there was a few nice action sequences sprinkled in. I ll still likely will never have the urge to rewatch the episode though. I didn’t notice if Smilorens eyes sithed out or not. I would think they probably should have if he was in the zone against that many Jedi solo mode.

Was not a fan of the many head butting moves. Kinetic motion would still be in play even with saber going out. It is easier in a novel to show that you are using the Force to brace impact, here you could use the Force sound effects to get that across. Idk if they did that from my one watch of the show.
