Sol will definitely die, likely attempting to save Mae.

I sort of feel like the “dirty little secret” is that he’s the combination of “special guest star” and “main attraction” you sometimes see where you can tell that the creator is absolutely psyched to write and feature a character, and it’s probably even their primary attraction to the story... but for whatever stylistic reasons, they’d rather the character be viewed at a distance as a supporting character. Usually, this comes with a desire to use mystery and vagaries to enhance a character’s aura, to an extent that makes them less feasible as an outright protagonist.

Think Jack Sparrow in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie, or how some people think Rian Johnson approached Kylo Ren (who is seemingly Qimir’s inspiration) compared to Everton else in TLJ. (For the record, thta’s also how I treated Robin Hood in the book I have in my signature.)

The catch is that, working back from that POV towards this “mysterious, seductive Sith Apprentice” as that type of character means a story where he’s more a “special attraction” to the main narrative.

The more I chew on his dialogue in Episode 6 and activities up until now, the more I'm starting to feel like Qimir/The Stranger isn't "the" apprentice, but maybe a failed one, separate from the main lineage -- like Maul by the Clone Wars. Discarded by a former master, claims to have no name (stripped off his Darth title?), seemingly lives alone on the island planet, is obsessed with finding an acolyte of his own, makes the incredibly risky and reckless decision to reveal his presence to an entire team of Jedi Knights on Khofar... I may be wrong, but it's all giving me very "rogue agent" vibes. If the Sith Master does appear in the finale, I'm starting to think that Osha will be less Qimir's apprentice, and moreso his replacement or successor.

Seems like everyone in this show is the B team.

Jedi Knights who fumble. Act emotional. Make giant blunders. And then cover it all up.
A lower level council who effectively sees nothing and keeps things from the high-council.
A failing padawan who got kicked out of the Order or left on her own account
A failing acolyte who grew tired of lessons and ditched her own master.
A Sith apprentice, or former apprentice who got kicked out of the Jedi Order, and may have gotten tossed aside as a Sith. Made blunders. Revealed himself to the Jedi unnecessarily.

Could be, but since we have such little time for everything this season, I suspect a larger connection.

He could very well just be a senator. But the reason I think there's a connection is because the show doesn't have much time to communicate information. So if we hear of a power hungry senator, it's probably connected.

EDIT: B team is a good idea because it's more realistic. In real life, most people are very average.

If you read Headland's interviews, she makes it very clear that Qimir is interested in the Coven and also interested in Brendok.

However, originally the Sith Lord was a smaller role, apparently, and it was only expanded once Headland saw what Manny could do in the role. So you are likely picking up on some of that. The Sith Lord role apparently is intended to grow bigger in S2, if we ever get it.

I don’t think that’s the case. My sense is that Qimir will be revealed in the finale to be central to what happened on Brendok. Namely, that he was either the source or the main exploiter of the force vergence on the planet, and is the one responsible for giving the coven the power to create life artificially. As Headland said, Qimir’s comment that he was a Jedi “a very long time ago” is something we should focus on. He was, I think, an ancient Sith power on Brendok that the witches drew their power from.

Oh boy and then Qimir will tell Mae: "so from a certain point of view...I am your father".

I doubt that they will go on this path. Although if Qimir will look the same in a flashback and it will be revealed that he is at least a hundred years old, that will probably be viewed as much more controversial in regard to his relationship with Osha than him, well, being a bad guy.

    Well,
ultimately Qimir is the main hero of the series - he helped sisters to reunite and to expose the real criminal.

Chad Qimir was posing as an incel for the whole first half of the series though! Then he “fell to the Chad side!”

Hold on. Headland said that we should definitely be considering Qimir’s line that he was a Jedi “a very long time ago” going into the finale, but I don’t think that was resolved. Was she just referring to him having been one of Vernestra’s pupils? If so, why a very long time ago? Or has he been Plagueis’ pupil for a very long time?

Vernestra is 116 years old, Qimir could become her padawan when she was much younger.
