Ahsoka Star Wars: Ahsoka - Season 2 Discussion Thread

Wait, Filoni played a role in her creation? I don't remember hearing that...very interesting. I suppose that does make her return more likely, especially in Ahoska which does seem to be doing something with the Mortis gods.

Though like many characters, I imagine she wouldn't be exactly the same as her old depiction in the new canon, especially if Filoni is involved.

Actress Rosario Dawson appeared at Fan Expo Boston this past weekend, and much to the delight of fans, she discussed developments on the second season of Star Wars: Ahsoka. During a panel conversation hosted by Collider's Steve Weintraub, Dawson discussed what she has learned about the new season, although she was careful not to divulge any spoilers.

The biggest question surrounding new episodes is when filming will begin. That would give eager fans a clue as to when new episodes would likely make it to Disney+. However, Dawson said that her conversations with series creator and writer Dave Filoni hadn't yielded any details about the start of production.

 

It's really starting to sound like a season 2 would still be years away. Around 2026 or 2027.

YouTubers like him drive me bananas. There was no need for him to make that video. He could have posted on his Twitter account that danielrpk said they are looking to recast the character. But nope don't get paid for Twitter views. He made people sit through a video where he did nothing but rehash news that many have known for a year or more just to say at the end that a leaker said that the character is going to be recast.

 

Since the previous actors and writers strike ended right before the Ahsoka Season 1 finale, would that have effected the timeline for Dave Filoni to start working on Season 2?

Lucasfilm officially announced in January 2024 that Ahsoka Season 2 was in development with creator Dave Filoni returning to lead the creative duties.

 

I know both greenlighted and greenlit are accepted past tense conjugations of greenlight, but greenlighted drives me crazy. So stop it!

Star Wars may have already revealed how Ahsoka Tano can find her way home in Ahsoka season 2, and it's shockingly simple. Ahsoka season 2 is confirmed to be among Star Wars' upcoming TV shows, and the groundwork has already been laid for the stories the season will tell. In the Ahsoka season 1 ending, Ahsoka and Sabine Wren found themselves trapped on Peridea, essentially swapping places with Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger.

Although Ahsoka seemed in no rush to find a way off the planet and back to the main galaxy, presumably, she will want to return home to help the New Republic fend off Thrawn and the threat he poses. While it may have taken Ezra years to find his way off the planet, Ahsoka and Sabine might have a much easier time getting home. In fact, the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker visual dictionary, written by Pablo Hidalgo, may have already revealed exactly how Ahsoka and Sabine can get off Peridea, according to this theory.

They have a ship and I'm sure the Purrgil will return to ancestorial burial ground, so they could get back that way. Of course, the WBW is a great way to travel, you never know where you might end up or when or who you might run into, like maybe a dead Sith lord or two.

 

The World Between Worlds could also change history, so they have make sure that doesn't happen if they were to travel though it.

Ahsoka reminded Ezra about that in Rebels when he wanted save Kanan. However that would have meant him, Sabine, and Hera would have been killed.

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think they were referring to Star Wars Theory from YouTube? So, could it just be a coincidence they happened to use the name Star Wars Theory in their title, because it was nothing more than a theory? He wasn't specifically mentioned to where he needed any credit for what was written. If those were some things he might have mentioned on his previous videos, I never saw any of them if he actually did that.
