I'm sure the titles will Swap eventually. Heck when the Superman trailer hits probably like really soon. Any WB movies it could be tagged to on December?

I vaguely recall Sgt Rock comics from the late 70s. How is a live-action film going to look different from a typical WW2 action movie?

I think that's a big issue here. I've read some Sg.Rock, enjoyed it well enough but it seems very much swimming in what are now pretty common WW2 story tropes. I think it MAY have stood out a bit more 40 years ago. I think if the audience is there for random WW2 movie than could get a bit of a crowd but I really don't find something unique vs other similar movies in the material. And any overt DCU connections would probably hurt the source material not benefit it (at least from a story perspective).

It's now being reported as mid-December, and since Superman the Movie -- of which we know Gunn is a fan -- released on Dec. 15th, well that's a good guess...

Last I heard, Kara is in the upcoming film and then will be in her own solo film. They have already cast other roles in her film.

first two episodes of creature commandos are delightful.

had no idea what to expect going in, but it’s 100% james gunn, in animated form (literally, he’s a character in the opening credits).

I see Circle from Anya Chalotra is our first main villain, nice. Rumor is she could cameo in the Superman movie.

Agreed, really enjoying it so far. It feels like a nice bridge between the DCEU and DCU, as well.

Blue Beetle was easily the best of the last four 2023 DCU (or whatever it's called) movies. It was so much fun, and it's too bad it underperformed because I'd love to see more

There were reports going around a few months back that the new DCU would have an animated series with the cast from the movie reprising their roles. Gunn said that even with the reboot, he wanted to keep Xolo Maridueña around as Blue Beetle. So we might very well get more!

Keeping the cast but giving them a better script to work with (regardless if there's a change in medium) would be ideal. The movie had its moments thanks to the family (albeit one that was kill-happy despite the hero's attempts to not do so) and Xolo, but the movie as a whole was fairly terrible and just ultra-generic in almost every other way. Basically only passable as very young children's fare (which is fine to be, but sets it far below most other superhero film efforts- even the worst of the DCEU).

I wouldn't call Blue Beetle terrible when it comes to DC movies when Catwoman and Joker Sings exist

Oh, it's not in the worst thing ever category like Catwoman. And I'll admittedly remain in the minority when it comes to actually enjoying Joker 2. But BB would have been a bad DC movie in 1998, or a Fox TV movie in 1995, let alone a DCEU film in 2023.

Joker Sings hitting Max in the US and Crave in Canada on December 13 for those who want to experience the torture (well if they cut out the songs it would be shorter and better, so now you can fast forward those parts!)

I forget if I phrased it this way here, but I look at Joker 1 as the superior movie, but I’m unlikely to ever rewatch Joker 1 if I’m not doing a double feature with Joker 2. And while I’m more likely to rewatch Joker 2, it’s for different reasons than not rewatching Joker 1, and for it just being more recent (ie: I’d maybe rewatch it once more on its own because of that, but not compelled to do so more beyond the prospect of a double feature).
