    I wish I could make an edit of Return that had both original and American 1985 footage together. The ending always make me tear up. Back in the 80's I thought Godzilla died in the volcano.

    I grew up with the Showa era, and always considered 1985 the end of the story.

    I just watched some of the Hesei era films for the first time this past weekend. With the exception of Return, I'd never seen any of them before.

    Received my copy of Godzilla vs Biollante, from the Criterion Collection this week. And it looks great, and is a joy.

    It's on the kooky weird side of Godzilla films, but it's fun, and supremely 80s.

    I pre-ordered the Godzilla vs. Thor one shot yesterday, thanks to Aaron Kuder illustrating it. Can’t wait to see how Aaron draws this. I remembered when he mentioned he bought a Godzilla figure for reference: I knew he was doing something with Godzilla. I nearly exploded with joy when this was announced.

    The premise is hilarious (or awful, if you hated Jason Aaron’s last Punisher series).

    It appears that Godzilla x Kong is now the brand, and will be sharing movies going forward.

    I was really hoping for more Godzilla solo films, but I guess they peaked early with KOTM.

    I’m hoping they balance it favoring Godzilla this time. It made sense to give Kong more time for the last couple since he never got a solo sequel. But the (spinal) scales are balanced now. Time for Godzilla to take the center spotlight again.

    Not bad, but it's not Godzilla's roar without the high pitched part.

    And blue will always beat out the other colors they keep trying to push.
