Mini Series Skeleton Crew 1.05 - Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

It looks like it was made of some gold. Which would make sense seeing as it was stored in that fault.

It looked pretty Old Republic. The OR must've been swimming in gold.

 

They had enough gold that they could trim Jedi cloaks with it and not have to worry about the budget costs of Jedi casually casting them off for dramatic flair.

 

Pokkit was Kelly Macdonald... so now we have two cast members of Trainspotting appearing in Star Wars.

Anyway, fun episode! I’m guessing Jod or SM33 are not the pirate Captain, but clearly they’re setting up a reveal.

 

Ok this is my first 8, loved this episode soo mutch more then the rest almost tempted to give it a 9. 8'5 is personal score.

 

Captain Blood is still my all time favorite pirate movie. The Crimson Pirate is another great one that walks a fine line between parody and action-comedy classic. The Seahawk and The Black Swan are good too.

 

Another fun episode. You obviously have quite the Goonies element on this one, but there's just a lot of goofy moments that make it a fun watch. Can't be surprised that the pirate Jod has finally, officially, turned on the gang.

 

Those go WAY back. Growing up I always loved the box office bomb Nate and Hayes, which was co-written by the legendary John Hughes.

 

Can't forget The Pirate Movie with its lightsaber joke.

 

I wonder if there was something more to Wim talking with that Bor Gullet type creature. Does he have a similar power to Ezra with creatures? Could be an interesting segue to Ezra and not Luke showing up. As mentioned they are shooting on an adjoining set and let's be honest, Ezra showing up is going to be a bucket load cheaper than CGI Luke.

 

Cthallops is a sentient being...not a wild animal. He was entertained by their story.

 

Great episode. Great show.

 

10/10. There wasn't a thing in it that I didn't enjoy. Brilliant episode and top notch humour.

Joe was definitely a Jedi at some point he’s just taken the Jedi mantras to their extremes at least the no attachment part. What’s everyone’s over under on if he actually helps the kids in the end? I’d say pretty high

I should’ve seen that ending coming with Jod/Silvo/Jack/Dash/Professor Gorelox. Still surprising.

 

So do you think Jod is his actual real name? God I hope it isn’t just because again it’s the worst Star Wars name ever.

We brought a bergamot panettone and it was a hit. Hugely relieved as a bad panettone can become a family meme!

So what are the chances the Kids end up in some ancieng temple underneath the trap door?

Those sith runes were a bit too prominently featured to not be setting up something and it would circle back nicely to the beginning and wims quest to find a jedi temple.

(Although this ofc could be a sith temple...)

 

A 10 out of 10 for me. Some of the best Star Wars I have seen. I was loling a lot with this episode. Kelly Macdonald was epic. I hope she survived the acid. I wonder if the kids will meet up with some of the pirates down below.
Jod will probably use the kids as leverage, hostages to get to the mint maybe.
