You guys have mentioned some of the best Star Wars names here as the worst. Very disappointing.

Also, the Jack Black episode is top tier Star Wars. And better than a lot of S1 and S2 Mando episodes.

 

The kids showed what terrible actors they are portraying the elders. No way they could fake being being disloyal to Jod if they weren’t actually betrayed by him.

And like you said Jod likely needs SM-33 at his command for whatever happens next. Of course he didn’t know in the moment he’d shortly have a lightsaber.

 

Agreed. So well done. And I didn’t expect it at all.

Though unless the pirates were faking it, we know exactly what happened. They were dissolved in acid. There’s no question mark about that at the end of the scene.

Edit: also please provide complete credentials on what kind of panettone you tasted before assuming and declaring you don't like panettone, included type of production, name of the producer, place of production... one does not joke about such serious matters right @Bor Mullet ?

Not necessary.

I dislike every single panettone I've ever tried. It's not even bad. It's just indifferent. It's like you have taken a cake and made it mediocre. It's like combining every mediocre dessert that has ever existed so that you can achieve the most mediocre mediocrity that has ever existed.

One spoonful of tiramisu encapsulates more taste, flavor, essence and bliss than 1000 panettones. The panettone is the Acolyte of desserts. Ok that was too far, I apologize.

 

You, my friend, have obviously only ever been re-gifted stale, 5-year old panettone from the supermarket. You know nothing!

Joking aside, in the town I live in, there actually was a war between promoters of two rival dried red onion-flavored gastronomic (meaning savory) panettone (our town is world famous for its sweet red onion). The politics were so fierce because the stakes were so low.

That all said, nothing beats a Sicilian cannolo, in terms of Italian desserts. Or a simple almond and sugar torrone.

But the holidays without panettone? You might as well cut out my heart.

What thread am I in? My anger has rendered me directionless and out of control. Oh, Skeleton Crew. Great show! Especially with a slice of bergamot-cream panettone.

 

The Kelly Macdonald factor almost makes me want to put Skeleton Crew ahead of Andor as my favorite Star Wars show.

 

Almost.

Right now for me it’s Andor, Mando S1 and Skeleton Crew in my top three.

 

I vote for the savory panettone, though I have tried neither

and I give this one a 9, really fun show so far

That’s where you get everything wrong
Panettone is NOT a dessert
Not in the same category of tiramisu (which by the way I am a queen of so step back Ehehe)
Panettone is a BREAD
A sweet, fluffy, buttery, cloudy fragrant bread you can eat at the end of a Christmas meal and claim you did not have dessert
A sweet bread you can eat with coffe and claim you did not have a proper meal
Or you eat panettone AFTER the dessert
Or, hear me out, you eat panettone with a layer of mascarpone vermicelles baileys cream with my secret recipe smothered over and you just are then in peace with the world…

…if you ate panettone in Italy or on the south of Switzerland and you at least tried an artisanal one made in some small bakery that uses stuff like only pure alpine butter the best candied fruits on the market and such ingredients and where they let the dough rise (or well fall because upside down) naturally and you say you don’t like it or are indifferent to it… I accept your stance…
And also you may be team pandoro and it is okay (I am both, panettone for Christmas and pandoro for New Year’s Eve, religiously!)

…but if you did not eat panettone under such circumstances… then you simply did not eat proper panettone and your opinion is invalid! @Bor Mullet knows what I am taking about!

…and now I am opening a new panettone I have lying around and will brutally finish the mascarpone vermicelles and baileys cream I have in the fridge!
While sipping a glass of champagne by the way, because why not?
And I may rewatch the last episode because this thing is panettone level good!

Tiramisu and panettone are not competitors by any mean, different categories so feel free to enjoy both without stating your preferences!

edit, I'm in the US, I meant I have had neither a sweet or savory panettone

I have had tiramisu, it's ok if it has very strong coffee flavor, and I don't mind a basic cannoli, but I prefer savory things

 

I think this was my favourite episode so far! This show has such a wonderful blend of danger, humour, 80s/90s sensibilities, and childlike imagination.

I cheered when Wim was about to ignite the lightsaber. And I didn't even mind the bathos humour of it igniting the wrong way (normally a pet peeve of mine)... mainly because he is just beginning his journey as a character and I suspect his real hero moment will come later.

Real homemade tiramisù is heaven but depend which kind you ate… there is some nasty stuff around and real tiramisu has to be made with raw eggs so I doubt you can find the real deal easily in the US because of the strange egg washing refrigerate in store thing they do there Ehehe
Proper tiramisu does not have to have a strong coffee flavor, the egg cream mascarpone masse has to be prominent so the flavor is very demure very mindful
I just wish I could send the real deal of both things to you all to taste!
Edit: May be wrong about the raw eggs thing I just heard about it
But if you have your chickens or know someone with chickens and have access to proper mascarpone you can do it easily by yourself

Is the Tiramisu vs. Panettone debate, a Skeleton Crew vs. Andor debate, that is being talked around to the point I have no idea what is being talked about?

 

Noooo nobody never fights about panettone vs tiramisu here in the south of Europe
If we talk about panettone vs pandoro… then that is another story and we better not start it here because that is a fight that can last generations
No fight about panettone vs tiramisu like no fight about Andor vs skeleton crew, cannot compare, different categories but both reeeeeeeally awesome!

 

I agree, and that's why it's the worst dessert and the worst bread ever. Because it sucks at being either.

Tiramisu has been my favorite dessert since about 1990, and I've had it in Treviso, literally at the place of its inception, so you may be the queen of tiramisu but I'm a Jedi Master at Tiramisu.

PS1. I've had fresh panettone from multiple bakeries as well. Still strongly dislike it.
PS2. Skeleton Crew has risen very highly for me as well in my preferences. But nothing beats Kenobi and Ahsoka.
PS3. This is my last panettone response I swear. I've wasted too much time and energy for an edible monstrosity that deserves none.
