Mini Series Skeleton Crew 1.07 - Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

Sean Astin as Tak Rennod was brilliant casting. 9/10.

 

Some people might think it was an unnecessary contrivance to have the pirates start the search for At Attin by going back to Lanupa to plunder the buffet. But IMO it was only natural after Jod's whole "I'm hungry" speech.

 

Would this be the first GFFA buffet we've gotten to see in such detail? The Meiloorun sculpture of Mon Mothma was amazing, but as expected, it was the cheese that really defined the scene. I wonder if there is already a wookieepedia page on all the different types?

I'm happy I was wrong when I thought maybe Lando was The Supervisor, but never in a million parsecs would I have guessed it was actually Neel all along.

 

Somehow, Pachyderm returned.

 

After eating at the cheese focused buffet, having a spontaneous all in sing along for a song entitled 'We are no longer hungry' helped things to go full circle (or cheese wheel if you will).

 

At Attin being made of cheese, and what were thought to be valuable Old Republic credits just being gold leaf-decorated slices of cheese, was a fun, cheesy twist.

@Glitterstimm was right. This show is pure cheese!

 

SMH at the ‘may the Force brie with you ’ line.

And nice to also find out about Jabba's long lost cousin, Chedda, taking care of the family business too.

 

Really excited for this week’s episode. They have a lot of ground to cover in the next 2 weeks. Will we make it back to At-Attin or is that reserved for the finale?

 

We should find At-Attin finally as i would think we get two episodes there.

I wasn't expecting the kids to land in At-Acheesen and being told it's Notcho-cheese.
Glad to see the Cheesebowl win by da Bears making all those cheese heads cry.

It was clear all along, the suburbs, the sheltered life, the order, the rules, everyone behaving, the money flowing!
No wars not fights, them being isolated from the rest of the galaxy!
I of all people should have seen it

It's a shame Neel didn't get to search the buffet. The way he kept muttering it was just too invincible was truly moving.

My favorite lines of the episode....

Fara (Fern's mom) : What shall we do with all of these captured pirates?
The Supervisor: Sentence them to death in the Gruyère-lock.

 

The real tragedy of this episode was learning that KB is allergic to cheese.

 

I liked the flashback swashbuckling sequence where Captain Rennod was defeated by Captain Rennet, the guardian of At Attin. That planet has such rich culture.

 

I really liked the twist that the supervisor was actually former Grand Moff Panettone and that Brutus was actually a sentient modified cheese created at Mount Tantiss and only escaping because he could turn himself into strands of Mozerella and escaped out of the aqueduct system when the Bad Batch destroyed it.

 

So this happened after Thrawn returned? Makes sense he would know the co-ordinates but a bit of a coincidence that he turned up just as the New Republic wasted the Pirates.

I will miss Carson Teva and Trapper Wolf though, don't shove the X-Wing into reverse during a 'Lando Manoeuvere', especially when your wing man is actually on your tail.
