Gosling has incredible versatility. He could be any type of character in this film and I think he'd probably find a way to make it great.

Seriously, people should go a bit further back to his early acting days and you can clearly see his range. The Believer ( 2021) is one of them. I can recall watching that in a cinema. Half Nelson ( 2006) of course, brought him nominations for many acting awards. The Place Beyond the Pines ( 2012) and Drive ( 2011).

 

Well, the popular theory there is that Ken eventually became Officer K, so... there is that.

Star Wars needs stars, they used to be able to make their own but that hasn’t happened in a long time. It makes sense that Gosling would go to the dark side so many other have probably resisted and just nail it down. He needs it, they need it, and we the fans need a real movie that won’t get squished into streaming. The Star Wars stars may have aligned for this one and I think it will be the next movie we get after Mando-Grogu. The Mangold joint might still happen but I don’t think Mangold will be the director.

Well if this movie got the momentum … the passion to be made … and a star helps … it isn’t as if we have too many Star Wars movies coming out. One in 2026 and no other is scheduled for shooting yet if I count right. So anything going in front of camera I feel fine about.
