Well going by the novels and ebooks we have:

    Cruiser analog
    Grand cruiser analog
    Battle cruiser analog
    Light cruiser analog
    Heavy cruiser analog
    Assault cruiser analog
    Destroyer analog
    Carrier analog
    Frigate analog
    Gunship analog
    Corvette analog
    Battleship analog
    Blastboat analog
    Warship analog
    Tender analog
    Worldship
    Spawn ship / Seed ship
    Drop ship
    Airskiff
    Dreadnaught analog
    Slaveship
    Coralskipper
    Yorik-vec
    Yorik-akaga
    Yammosk carrier
    Clustership
    Interdictor analog
    Slayer ship
    Gunboat analog
    Transport analog

    Per NJO Sourcebook:
Cruiser analog = Suuv Ban D'Krid, Matalok
Grand cruiser analog = Kor Chokk
    Frigate analog = Ro'ik Chuun M'arh
    Corvette analog = I'Friil Ma-Nat
    Battleship analog = Uro-ik v'alh
    Gunship analog = Uumufalh
    Worldship = Koros-strohna
    Spyship = Yorik-strohna
    Coralskipper = Yorik-et
    Warship analog = Miid Ro'ik
    Carrier analog = A-vek Iiluunu
Destroyer analog = Vua'spar interdictor (as the Sunulok is described as a destroyer analog in "Star by Star").

Then there's the strange 1,000 meter long winged ship at Kalarba that is unidentified.

It's almost as daunting to my brain as what exactly "cruiser", "frigate", "corvette" and "destroyer" means to the New Republic/Galactic Alliance forces.

I picture Mataloks as kind of ovoid, but maybe closer to menhirs?

Suuv Ban D'krids might well be egg shaped. I'Frii Ma-nats might be somewhat like a faceted onyx gem, too.

I do know a number of Warlords and moddb.com mods have come up with their own versions though (including of the Uro-ik Vahl)

Some fun little tidbits in the Andor S2 trailer that was dropped today!

    • We see Yavin Base, complete with some lovely classic Rebel X-wings with red and blue markings
    • Saw's Cavern Angels X-wing group is shown (I love their black & white livery)
    • What that TIE Avenger/TIE Advanced hybrid thing is packs ALOT of firepower

And that one freighter design we saw a lot in Rebels. And probably other places, but my mind can only picture it in Rebels

I think one or something like it shows up in Young Jedi Adventures even, so it might be a centuries old design.

The one in Andor looks a bit different to me...but then the Lancer ship looks different in its various appearances, so it could just a visualization thing or a variant design or customized model or something.

In all fairness, it does show up in Rebels as well, the Mining Guild uses it.

Wow, that TIE Avenger is packing a large amount of weapons. Just looking at it, it's got four guns on the wingtips (like the Interceptor), two chin guns which look larger than the standard TIE, two rapid fire lasers under the wings (they look like they deploy from inside the wing), possibly 18 missiles launcher (only 3 of the angled wings have missiles on them), and what looks like an even larger twin laser mounted on the port side.

It's definitely possibly its appearance changed when it was translated to live action, as a few other ships have. But in this case, I think it's supposed to be a different ship (possibly from the same manufacture), as it looks like it might be smaller, and also appears to be built off the model of one of the TRoS ships.
There's a ship with a similar hull and engines visible in the following screencap. It's on the left, just in front of the MC75.
    https://i0.wp.com/img.screencaps.us...warsscreencaps.com-19915.jpg?ssl=1&quality=95
    [IMG]
For comparison there also appear to be a YV-865 in TRoS. It's visible in the top left of this image. https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/s...ives_CA.png/revision/latest?cb=20200311151647

I'm posting the TRoS image again (outside of the spoilers tag), as I noticed there's another variant of the MC95 in it.
At the top there's the wide E variant, but it appears to have some of the features from the C variant (the ring and vertical nose fin).
    https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/s...ives_CA.png/revision/latest?cb=20200311151647

I wonder if there are any more variants hiding within the fleet?

I miss the use of secondary hulls in capital ships... they were such a neat concept. Especially from times that lacked electromagnetic shields or rather backed them up to not waste energy. In Jedi Knight game you could even crawl in the space between both hulls which was quite spacey and could have held a lot of surprises or stuff, had one repurposed it in later times.

The outer/inner hull dynamic could be very useful practically.

    Andor S2

The Tie Avenger/Advanced look alike appears to have both rotary/gatling lasers and the normal under cockpit lasers. the gatling ones are what we see firing earlier based on the spacing and the speed they're firing

The image you linked isn't working for me, but are you referring to a ship that looks like the one at the top of this Citizen's Fleet concept art?

This is a good image and it appears it was made after the models were finalized, so we can clearly see a classic MC95C, a MC95E, and that variant of the two highter up in the middle.

A slight update on the weapon count.
It's 16 missiles not 18. The left side only has 4 missiles. They also appear to be a different type of missile, as they are longer, are mounted on individual rails, and aren't in hexagonal launch pods (like the 12 on the wings are).
The 12 launch pods have cones on the end, so they might be proton torpedoes.
Another thing I noticed is the outward facing side of the wings are armoured plates, instead of the normal solar panels. You can see them in the top image.

With it's large and slightly odd armament I'm thinking it's some sort of prototype. Which kinda suites me, as while I do like it, I also really like the TIE Fighter/CCG version and it being a prototype leaves room for that version to return.

Yep, that's the one. I was hoping a direct link would work, but apparently not. This is why I normally avoid images from wookieepedia as they don't always show up for everyone.
I think you can get around it by removing everything after the image name in the url. In theory this link should work...

edit: it didn't quite work. loaded a thumbnail...

It's hard to tell if the mixed variant actually appears in the movie, but with how hard it is too see all the ships in the fleet, it could easily be hiding within it without us ever knowing. I will note though that the majority of MC95s in the fleet are variants, so it may have more of a chance of showing up than the base MC95 - there's only one ship I can see in the distant fleet shots that might be the base version, and even then I'm not 100% sure about it.

The MC95 just looks like the Home One Type remastered. No wonder they used it in Squadrons and Battlefront.

Man, that's a lot of firepower.

If Grand Admiral Zaarin had a fair few more of THESE TIEs, he'd probably have swatted Vader AND Thrawn quite easily.
Even Harkov could have ended up doing quite a lot of damage.

Does remind me somewhat of the https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Lancet_Aerial_Artillery , too. With a little of some FractalSponge designs maybe.

It definitely is paying homage to Home One. It's like they took Home One and cut and squashed its hull to make a shorter version of it. This image previously posted by @AdmiralNick22 gives a good comparison between the two.

I know they used the MC95 in the Squadrons Hunted short, but I don't recall it ever showing up in the two newest Battlefront games. As far as I know they only made models of the winged MC80 and the MC85 for those games, and outside that short, Squadrons only had the MC75 and winged MC80.
Oh, and in the Hunted short, they used two different MC95s models(the E variant and the base version), which is pretty bad since I think they're supposed to be the same ship:rolleyes:.

There's a few good views of the new TIE Avenger in it.
Can clearly see the four large missiles mounted on their rails, the wingtip lasers and two large lasers on the side. Also shows that the entrance to the fighter is in the rear - I wonder if there is also a roof hatch?

There's also what looks like a group of three lasers on each wings leading edge. Whether these are laser or some other type of doohickey, we'll have to wait and see - they look smaller than the wingtip lasers, so should be less powerful.

Finally there's a nice closeup of the gatling lasers.

It's nice how they made the Avenger into more of a multirole heavy fighter , like a DH Mosquito or F4 Phantom. I hope they keep differentiating the 1000000 "TIE but better" variants (Advanced, Defender, Hunter, Avenger etc)

To be fair, I've quite enjoyed Disney's insistence that they make new TIE's each film/entry.

Even if the TIE Brute got half a second screen time, the TIE Reaper and TIE Striker especially were sublime additions.

The Rebels haven't done as well, but I do very much like the U-wing and the E-wing coming back.

Where did the designation of YT-1300 for the Falcon first appear? Was it WEG?
I can’t find anything on it on wookiepedia, unless I glanced over it by accident. And google is no help these days
