Who should head of Lucasfilm?

If Lucas films bombs a Star Wars movie at the box office, time will only tell what could happen with Kathleen Kennedy.

 

They already did, Solo was a box office flop.

Lucasfilm spent $275 M to make Solo and likely at least $75 M to market it. So let’s say a conservative total of $350 M

Well it only made $393 M in total global box office which Disney gets around 50%. So they made tops of around $197M. So, Disney likely lost approximately $150M on Solo.

 

That I already knew as with acolyte bombing too but I am not sure if lucasfilm can handle Strike 3 if anti woke fans get mad or if they don’t time the market right.

With solo I think it was a little bit of both.

 

Yeah, I have to agree here. I don’t believe KK in any way gives a rip about what the fans think about her. I disagree with many of the directions that SW has been taken down under Lucasfilm, but KK has said multiple times she is happy with the products Lucasfilm has made. She is a juggernaut in this industry, so she leaves whenever she wants to……..regardless of recent projects viewership. All just my opinion of course.

 

Also keep in mind the fan atmosphere's they actually experience are in general overwhelmingly positive. Convention atmosphere's are pretty much the complete opposite of what you see on YouTube or reditt and other kinds of social media apps. In general the only people paying attention to those forms of media are fans with too much time on their hands.

They like to think they have a big impact on franchises (or at least they like to claim they do). While it's true they do have an impact on online communities but very little impact on fandoms overall.

Just look at it this way. They have been saying Kathleen Kennedy is about to get fired ever since TLJ came out. Yet here she is still around and looking like she is going to go out on her own terms.

 

The funniest thing is even if Jon or Dave got in they would be just as “woke” as Kennedy

 

While Filoni isn’t as openly political as his wife his wife certainly is. And usually people are at least on the same space as thier partner (meaning two people on the left are more likely to be together than someone who is in a relationship right and left)

although a left and right relationship can happen. Happened with my mom and dad for example.

The grifters i remember made videos of his wife. She got in a video in the famous fan Pantheon and talks about her and Dave. And from that i knew where her and Filoni was political. She is a massive Nightsister fan and maybe hos wife is the reason we got them back in Ahsoka.

 

Point being is Dave will be just as woke as Kennedy if not more so. Honestly it’s almost like the anti woke crowd is as dumb as a box of bricks

 

To think people are afraid of actors/actresses that aren't straight, white males mucking up their precious Star Wars..

I guess we will wait until we hear and learn official announcement from Lucasfilm and if strike 3 happens at the box office from a Star Wars film bombing, it could really hurt them badly which is why they are struggling releasing a movie.

 

Like a lot of places, they're hit and miss.
