He said that Shawn Levy's film would feature an "Older Rey", and then Kennedy said it was set like 5 years after The Rise of Skywalker, meaning she'll be like a decade younger than she'd be in the Obaid-Chinoy film. Not exactly what I'd define as "older." He said that the Damon Lindelof film was "100% releasing" in December 2025, and that the script was complete + casting was locked down as of two years ago.

To be fair to him, he only said an older Rey and she is older. And that Daemon Lindelof going to probably get it released by that date but LFL didnt want old Rey.

I doubt we get any update on this project at Celebration in April. If the script is not even close to being finished, there will be no casting news either. Maybe some concept art has been made. A bit disappointing after the big fanfare on stage 2 years ago, but hopefully its on track to start production late 2025 or early 2026.

Agreed there, we might get a small update of it. Maybe a tittle reveal of the movie.

There is a specific tactic people like Sneider use when dealing with things they were wrong about. They never ever bring it up again. And only bring up the things they were right about again. So hopefully the people that follow them forget about the things they got wrong and only remember the things they got right.

No, when he said older, I think he meant older. Like 25, 30+. Not five or ten years older.

That was the original plan before Lindelof was fired.

To be fair its hard to say whether it was a plan or just an idea that went no where.

John Stewart. Superman VFX team fired (not). Live action Holand in Spiderverse. Beyond Spiderverse conplete overhaul. Robert Pattinson as DCU Batman.

His DCU source is complete and utter ass. Dude used to he a great scooper but now he's just bitter about James Gunn and other weird **** and gets called out on Twitter for bad scoops. Dude last week writes a story saying Superman test screenings are getting great feedback and then Gunn publicly says his Clayface casting scoop is BS and literally the next day Sneider says his "best" source is now saying Superman is bad again. Cried on a podcast about Gunn not inviting him to the trailer reveal event after Gunn publicly called him out for another fake scoop regarding the entire vfx team for that film being fired when said team is still working on that film to this day. He fell off hard.

He's been called out on social media by director Chris Miller too.

Those are actually all valid points on your part, to be fair. That said, his SW source (and to a lesser extent, his MCU source) definitely seem more accurate than whoever his sources are for Sony, DC, etc.

Is this what this thread has become? Defending/disparaging the honor of Jeff Sneider?

Call me Ishmael. Some years ago—never mind how long precisely—having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world.

Seriously though, I would say this is definitely what Mangold is working on now Complete Unknown awards season is over. I remember awhile back when there were rumours he would make a Star Wars movie before this he said his next two movies were set in the 60s which turned out to be Indy V and Complete Unknown

By the 60s, he may have meant the 60th century BBY.

In the mists of time, 25,000 years before the death star.. I reckon that would be a good setting ...I'm excited for the possibilities ... I really love the ach to location

Looking more into timeline I wonder if 25000-20,000 years might be a prologue (like in lord of the rings) currently that is when the prime jedi creates the jedi order they discover illum and create the light sabre
Ossis and Jeddah are discovered around about 10,000. The time of the old republic The sith order originated around about 5,000 BBY. As are the first mandolrian wars.
So if you were advising Mangold how far back would you go to start the whole story off (on screen)?
I guess this era ends with the rule of two circa 1032 BBY. 24,000 years is a long time to tell a story... where would You start and who would be a good central character to follow? The prime jedi..would the first villain be a Mando? Would be a good idea considering the success of the Mando series.
