Making the puppets think they're in control of him serves him well. It also gives him shielding from any outcry and those with the torches.

Wait. This lends so much more weight to Mon's declaration. "I name the Emperor himself for ordering the brutal attacks on the people of Ghorman." She sees through it and calls him out. No ISB shadow government conspiracy theories for her!

    Exactly.

And feigning inferiority or lacking power is a definitely a trick Palpatine has used in the past. Anakin didn't see through it. Mon does.

Totally agree. Syril is hands down my favorite character on this show. Really looking forward to seeing where he ends up. I don't expect that he'll join the rebellion but I could see him losing faith in the Empire then he's thrown in jail by his very own girlfriend!

It's not lazy, there was literally nothing to do other than literally nuke the production of the show he was supposed to be filming or kidnap him, or spend a bajillion dollars delaying the show after the strike already delayed it. It's same thing with Jeff getting recast in Better Call Saul due to the main star collapsing and delaying filming, and believe me, the makers of that show are anything but lazy. Heed the message of the prequels and accept that there are some things we cannot change.

I'd rather a recast Organa in a great show, (Andor), versus Smits playing Organa in a terrible show, (Kenobi). :p

He was originally cast as Organa in Phantom Menace before his scenes were deleted and his likeness now became Bail Antilles.

Background, secondary and villains as aliens. Nute Gunray was the main villan in episode 1

The Empire is fairly humanocentric, so it makes sense we don't see many alien villains. Thrawn is the exception, not the rule. Although I do wonder if this season will utilize bounty hunters at all. I feel like they could make some extremely juicy political commentary about that, bringing bounty hunters the sci fi Star Wars profession closer to what real life bounty hunters are like and how they fit into the system.

Snoke is not alien really, he is not natural creation and has mostly human genes although probably mixed with some alien, muun maybe.

But I agree that having more aliens would be good and wouldn't hurt the show. Focus could still be in more human characters but more supporting aliens could work as in OT we have Chewie and PT... well Jar Jar...

Well that's why I put question marks, especially since he was probably originally intended to be an alien.

There are more aliens in semi-important roles in PT. In OT we have Chewie and Yoda and in Rotj Ackbar, ewoks and Jabba plus extras like Nien Numb and Bib Fortuna etc.. In think Rotj has the best alien-human ratio of all films.

From Disney shows Mandalorian, Ahsoka and Acolyte had enough aliens imo.

Just clocked the significance of Bix shouting the officer at the end of the latest act of Andor after how this arc started for her. I was too delighted by what she'd done moments before I didn't notice. There is so much going on the show rewards a rewatch. The little moments matter.
