One more thing about Kleya and Luthen tons of people on line are talking about there relationship a lot saying what I'm saying some saying Father and Daughter...

Irony is that once we leave Tatooine the only alien we see in the original star wars was chewie... not evident at the rebel base or death star...Andor does reflect the more human side of the galaxy story..tho I still miss vetch from season 1 but think the alien quota is fine

 

I've honestly never really thought about that.

 

Am I weird for thinking it's neither??? Like, we don't have to fit every relationship into the nuclear family mold.

I bet they were mad about Cinta. I do not blame them. I honestly don't know how I would rate this episode because Cinta's death pretty much skews the whole season for me.

 

But does it really matter? It's just fun speculation that obviously I'm not the only one wondering. I like the actress Elizabeth Dulau I kind of want them to be a couple I like them both! That's Elizabeth Dulau on my Avatar picture! I'm a Shipper like I was for Fry and Leela on Futurama! I have a feeling Luthen is getting an epic death scene we may find out then Kleya's response to his death. Also why was Luthen at Mon's daughters wedding? I believe kleyla is Mon Mothma's cousin and yes Luthen was politicaly scheming at the wedding but why else was he at the wedding? And why do Kleyla and Luthen travel everywhere together they go on dates to parties what not? Again I could be wrong

 

About the wedding: Luthen was there because he is the one who procured the statue that Davo Sculdun gifted the newly weds at the ceremony. It is explained during the statue reveal and so on. So that’s why he is there. Plus seeing the interaction between Vel and Kleya, I highly doubt if they where both Mon’s cousins they would have to find a cover to explain why they know each other (we met at the shop bla bla). So I don’t think Kleya is Mon’s cousin and I don’t think she is Chandrilan? Or has it been stated somewhere? And I also get zero romance vibes from them but I could be wrong…

 

1. I also put on the subtitles for my dad who has major hearing loss so I'm not just watching I'm reading the subtitles and Mon Mothma said to Luthen watch out for my cousin Kleya. 2. Being at the wedding for the Statue was actually his cover for the political scheming. But I think he was also Kleya's date for the wedding.

 

And thats where you could see aliens in the Rebels cells and not just background in Saw's cell. The ones we saw in Yavin would have a droid and alien. And see Mon have a close relationship with an alien. This is my gripe with Andor. In the Prequels aliens everywhere in the Senate sepratist and the jedi.

 

When did it say that? I also watch with subtitles (English CC) on all the time in order to catch details and I did not see that, when is it? It does not make any sense. Mon never interacts with Kleya at the shop? And Vel asks how to justify the fact the know each other? That does not make sense to me.About Luthen it is stated he is there for the statue. That’s why he was invited by Davo. Mon did not invite him that it’s pretty obvious. Nothing against your theory but he is surely not “Kleya’s date” for the wedding.

 

There have been more aliens than Season 1, but that was a very low bar to pass

Some of them did look amazing indeed. The thing is, there should be alien everywhere. Not just in 2 or 3 scenes. Why do we have planets where you only find humans? Or maybe one random alien between hundreds of humans? It simply looks unrealistic to me.

The CGI for the alien you mention was indeed great, but the CGI for the alien who was running the Senate was... ouch

 

"Where is dr. Gorst? Is he safe? Is he alright?" Quite the asset the ISB lost; loved what I think it's the first reference we've gotten to the rivalry they have with Imperial Intelligence, though.

About the recast: I think they probably prioritized good acting over a closer matching appearance, and that sounds about right to me. Seeing how the internet works, I'm surprised this iteration hasn´t been branded Fail Organa or something along those lines (yet), but I for one will wait for a proper scene of him in the next arc to see how it goes.

 

I’m just saying there are way more than some fans give it credit for. Especially on Coruscant in these past three episodes (and of course, in Saw’s crew). But even on Ghorman, for example, and still I see people online saying there are zero aliens there.

The mix seems a little less than most Star Wars, but I find the critique to be a little hyperbolic, at times.

 

There were also A LOT of aliens on Ferrix and Niamos. I think what is missing is a regular secondary character being an alien. Just a Chewbacca or Yoda type added to the show would have made a lot of this criticism go away, I think.

 

Here's hoping screaming alien thingy gets his own arc here.

Right. Part of the beauty of the show is its emphasis on collective struggle vs. heroic individualism. And this means not everyone gets some big melodramatic confrontation with their nemesis. But Cinta at least got to reconnect with the love of her life before departing.

 

No it didn't, Mon was talking about Val, her cousin. She was talking to Kleya.

 

Your correct! But it doesn't change the fact that they depict them living together in or near/Adjacent to the shop and going everywhere together! Could it be just a working relationship Yes sure but my gues there either dating married or he's her dad? These are just guesses I don't know for sure? What I think we all can agree on Luthen was the one who started the rebel alliance he most likely dies probably soon in the next Arc? I would like to see more Rebels Cartoon episodes with Luthen how much sway did he have in those Rebel Cells? The Rebels show happened at the same time as Andor!

 

He almost doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who ever had those kinds of ... attachments. The sacrifice, his former life, he speaks about is bigger.

Maybe they'll hire his son for an episode and we get a flashback Luthen scene where we see that former life and how it began on the day of the Great Jedi Purge.

Kidding.

 

I guess they probably do have sex from time to time*, while also being in the mutual understanding that they would readily kill each other if it was for the sake of the rebellion.

* I don't have much to substantiate this educated guess, other than the fact that, well, they surely don't have another partner, they spend a lot of time together, and they are under an insane dose of stress to release.

 

Luthen is very ruthless and is turning into what he hates

 

I don't think they do. I imagine Luthen is similar to the character Stannis Baratheon when it comes to that aspect of his life, as in it is virtually non-existent because all of his drive is focused elsewhere. I'd also imagine Kleya isn't too much different in that respect as well.
