Regarding Kleya - I thought the scene in episode 3(?) where she talks to Val and says something like "we're just 2 single women enjoying the party and seeing what's available" (paraphrasing) had something of an undercurrent. Like, does Kleya fancy Val?

 

Yes, I understand full well the cover stories. It's the up and down look of disdain that Val gives Kleya right before she walks away. Not sure if you read "something of an undercurrent" in my post.

 

Haven't we seen planets that are mostly one species of alien before? Like Rodia, Toydaria? This would just be the human version of that.

The theory that they're bitter exes is a popular one in my circle. Kleya referring to the fact that they're both single could be interpreted as Kleya making a move now that Cinta's out of the picture, and honestly without that interpretation Vel's "hm... no" look is not nearly as funny.

Kleya does not fancy Vel.
In fact, she told her to **** off quite unequivocably in season 1, when Vel violated the protocol and came into her shop to ask about Cinta.

 

I just don't think they like each other very much, and Vel's look of disgust is more "Um, no, I'm not gonna be your cover. See ya."
I also think there's a bit of resentment at the notion she should pretend to be scanning the attendees at this highly traditional heterosexual arranged marriage to find a man.

Intresting anyone knew that Wilmon was Bix's Brother? Meaning Box lost her dad last season?

I know, but there were many other theories about Kleya going about, so I thought I'd throw another into the mix. And Vel's reaction in that scene gave me the starting point, as flimsy at it may be.

 

I thought the mods said we were moving on from this? If we are continuing the discussion then I will fully go to bat for Kenobi as a series and Jimmy's role in it.

Yes, as a cover. Which was clearly stated in the episode.

 

I think if Kleya has feelings for Luthen, she sets them aside like the professional she is.

What? That seems to be a mistake. Nowhere was it ever said that Wil is Bix’s brother, or that they shared the same father.

 

They're not even the same ethnicity. Plus, they have different last names, which implies that Bix is not adopted (at least not by them.) They did probably grow up together, but not in the same household.

My opinion on Luthen & Kleya is that they spend so much time together, they know people are bound to suspect that something is going on between them. So their goal is to make it seem like the secret they're keeping is that they're having an affair. If people make that assumption, they're far less likely to suspect they're plotting treason.

Yep that does not make any sense on how Bix interacted with Wil’s dad…

If it is so it is nonsense… why would she behave like her dad and her brother are merely acquaintances to her? Brasso took Will with them fleeing Ferrix because he launched the bomb and was about to be slaughtered by imps but I don’t think there is more to that?

 

10 - easily the best episode of the season. Not the series, that still goes to the breakout from the prison. So much going on, edge of your seat. Bix's revenge was quite unexpected.
