Happy Star Wars Day! I just back home from Dallas a few hours ago...took me a little longer than I thought to settle in. This morning, in Dallas, we went to Village Baking Co. in Highlands Park (it's a little city surrounded by Dallas) for breakfast/snack, walked to playground for my niece, walked around Lakeside Park, and had lunch at Canyon Creek Golf Club. @Lady_Belligerent Have you been to any of those places? I didn't realize how spread out Dallas is. My sister and her family mostly just stay in their community bubble.

 

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—
Only this and nothing more.”

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December;
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow;—vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow—sorrow for the lost Lenore—

This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, “Lenore!”—

Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,

Ghastly grim and ancient Raven wandering from the Nightly shore—

Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,

I've been waiting a lot of, 'I'm not buying the SWITCH 2' youtube videos.
I can totally feel their frustration with the price mark up its crazy.
I'll wait a year or two and wait for a sale.

Setting some goals for the week. Haven't heard back from any employers. Mothers days coming up. And it's almost b ball weather.

How about you?

 

I'm okay. Got my hand injured at, and I can't even get time off for it. It is one of those injuries where I'm going to bruise up and be sore. Life has been crazy, and I've been ready for it to calm down.

I'm taking my mom to see Bonnie Raitt Friday. That was her mother's day gift.

I'm looking into playing some basketball again myself. The weather has been nice out today.

It will take time to hear back from employers unfortunately. It is a waiting game, don't get discouraged though.

I've been busy today doing some unpacking and taking care of stuff outside...the forecast was calling for storms this afternoon (got a quick pour) and rain is forecasted overnight and throughout tomorrow.
