Andor Andor Episode 2.09 Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

My spidey story senses are already tingling with the increased stakes and cliff hangers that will lead into the grand finale arc next week.

 

Using “I have a bad feeling about this” in reference to the imminent Ghorman massacre was the worst use of the phrase yet. I’m shocked. Why would Gilroy do that? The whole series is ruined.

 

The first instance was jarring, I'll agree, but then when another character said "I have a bad feeling about this massacre," it really felt like it hammered home the traumas of war.

 

Speaking of iconic phrases, Krennic saying ‘Oh it’s beautiful’ when he realised Dedra and Syril were a thing was a genuinely surprising and touching moment that felt both out of character but allowable at the same time.

 

It was shocking when that character revealed that knowledge he had to that other character. I wasn’t expecting that piece of knowledge to be revealed this week!

 

These episodes will be very epic and dramatic, need to prepare myself.

 

I am preparing myself for Lonnie to die screaming, his poor wife and child and his gay fans

 

Mon Mothma saying “erm, that just happened” afterwards too. MCU humor creeps into everything.

 

Perrin's last stand was epic.

Longest Andor episode of the series. Keep your seatbelts securely fastened.

 

Stupid work, I cannot watch all three straight away and that means I need to keep out of these threads.
