The use of archive footage of Bruce Willis as Kyle Katarn was of questionable taste.

 

Who predicted Palpatine would turn Kino Loy to the Dark Side and become Snoke? Best ever Star Wars twist!!!

 

I liked that they revealed The Bothens to be a famous galactic rock band from Ghorman and that because they were writing anti-empire songs, 3 of the 4 members were hung in the public square. Fitting Mon Mothma was the number one fan, added weight to her line in the OT.

 

But... I'm not ready for it to be over.

I reallly can't stay up... but there's no way I'm going to be able to avoid putting on Rogie One tonight.

 

What an ending. I will say I was very surprised that not more people died. I really thought we were going to get rogue oned again.

 

I can't believe something this incredible was made based on a couple of lines from the crawl of a 50 year old movie. Hell, it's a prequel to the movie made based on that.

Best SW series by far. Some of the best SW ever, period.

I'm just dumbstruck over what I just watched. I can hardly believe it. All of it just works. These last three episodes were truly thrilling, edge of your seat stuff here. Love how it all ended. Love the little endings for all the Imperials.

Time to go watch Rogue One.

And will someone please give Tony Gilroy more SW. Just let him do whatever.

 

No I can comfortable say this is the best Star Wars I have ever watched. Bar none. And I liked a lot of Star Wars.

I really wanted K2 to start tossing some of those Rebel Leaders across the room who doubted and mocked the intel. Looking at you, Bearded Dude Who's Name I don't know.

Im like ... this is why you guys lost the Republic in the first place. Get it together.

 

The fact of the matter is without Luthen’s intel and then the intel from Tivik the rebel leaders would have never believed it. It’s because of both that the mission to get Jyn happened.

 

I’m not crying.

Can’t believe how good this show was.

 

The little shot of Mon's husband, presumably having an affair with their daughter's MIL, or perhaps just out partying and drinking too late, said so much with so little.

I'd almost expect this guy to have been arrested just for the connection to the Senator. But this makes sense too.

 

Top 3 SW memory for me easily. In no particular order
Finishing The Unifying Force,
Watching Revenge of the Sith in theaters for the first time,
and this.

 

The Luthen/Kleya stuff was fantastic. My favorite rebels now.

 

That one guy who tried to convince me that Bix was actually fighting for the rebellion, just away from Cassian, owes me an apology. Called me media illiterate, too! Well, where are you the guy that I argued with last week? Looks like she wasn't fighting at all! She was just a pregnant, sad housewife! Just like Padme in Revenge of the Sith! Just like the previous arc said she was!

Pretty meh finale, tbh. First episode was super rushed, and a lot of stuff just happened off-screen, like Dedra finding Luthen, and a lot of stupidity by the characters, like Luthen shooting Lonnie in the middle of the public square in broad daylight, Dedra just not stunning Luthen, Luthen not attacking Dedra with the knife, ISB and stormies just letting Kleya walk in when the explosions went off. Luthen's backstory was quite vague. How did an army sergeant become a sophisticated historian antique collector? And man, Empire was ROLLING with genocides since day one, kinda funny how Ghorman was the final straw, when they were mowing down people by the thousands in that flashback, it seems.

Then we have the long, tedious, dragged out "we don't believe you", cuz reasons. Because the Empire building a giant weapon is just so unbelievable after 5000 genocides, am I right?

Krennic was super fun. He was just CHEWING those scenes. Enjoyed every last second of him. Saw was just a cameo and did nothing. Disappointing. The action and extraction were fun, but it's really weird how K2SO is tanking all those shots, and in Rogue One droids like him are destroyed in a single shot and take heavy damage.

Dedra's finale was... ok. Getting into Narkina-like prison. Not the worst thing that could have happened to her. Don't have any strong feelings about it now. The last arc was jaw dropping, this one was honestly one of the weakest ones in the series, the weakest after the Yavin Idiots at the beginning of S2.

 

Love this arc, but it really needed a season of its own to breathe.
Emotionally satisfying, but I need more of this cast!

 

Ummm. Luthan wasn't stupid. He was desperate. He had to kill Lonnie because Lonnie was being hunted, and said he was surprised they weren't there already. He couldn't wait another possible moment. And what would stabbing Deedra accomplish? The building was surrounded by troopers. It was too late. They all know what's going on. Deedra found him out. Killing himself is the way he doesn't let intel about the rebellion out.

The backstory flashbacks were beautifully well done. Showing their father daughter relationship grow just as it ends. And why is it so impossible that an Army Sargeant can't be some historian? Every day people can be enlisted or drafted into wars. He may have been an antiques-historian in his real life, and fighting was the part that was alien to him. Which is why he's introduced praying for it to stop. It also show show that career grows or evolves out of necessity. They heed money to survive. It becomes their new life. Nothing strange about it.

Yeah...I'm not sure how any fan could be let down by this. God if only we could get this level of SW consistently.
