In honor of the final curtain being drawn on this fine series, and in keeping with the spirit of rebellion, I give you the manifesto of Karis Nemik.

    The Trail of Political Consciousness

There will be times when the struggle seems impossible. I know this already. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the enemy. Remember this. Freedom is a pure idea. It occurs spontaneously and without instruction. Random acts of insurrection are occurring constantly throughout the galaxy. There are whole armies, battalions that have no idea that they've already enlisted in the cause. Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward. And then remember this. The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. Remember that. And know this, the day will come when all these skirmishes and battles, these moments of defiance will have flooded the banks of the Empire's authority and then there will be one too many. One single thing will break the siege. Remember this. Try.

    100%

A particular 'writer' should be squirming in his seat right now!

Could you imagine a show with Thrawn done by the Andor crew??

I never post anywhere other than the JC Community.

But I just had to come here to say my 2 cents: Andor is the best Star Wars since the OT, in my humble opinion (I know to some Star Wars is just Jedi vs Sith and high fantasy) and it truly moved me.

Neither movies nor series ever do that to me, and I have to confess that the last scene almost, ALMOST, made me cry.

Anton Lesser is a great actor too. Great on GOT. Good on the Crown as PM.

Her ultimate shame would be being rescued by the Rebels after its all over, after Return of the Jedi, and now she walks in a galaxy where what she fought for, the Empire, is gone, so now what does she do? How does she live out the rest of her life?

This season is incredible, but it's easy to see now how a couple of extra seasons would have also been amazing.

For example, I would have loved to see more tension build in Dedra's story. Clearly since the Ghorman massacre she's been breaking rules to try to find Luthen, and there's a lot of great scenes we could have had showing her breaking bad and losing her mind.

I'm happy with the way everything turned out, but it's yet another example of how LFL doesn't make the best choices for its shows.

I think also characters like Wilmon would have had more interesting arcs with more time.

I thought this was a parody of the Star Wars naming conventions and then I realized who you were talking about and remembered that’s probably his real name

I thought the first arc of this season was pretty bad and just pointless, all things considered. Second arc was good. Third arc was a masterpiece. Fourth arc was okay. I had my problems with some of the writing choices, and I don't care much for Rogue One, so all the callbacks did very little to me. Syril carried this season hard.
Overall, I enjoyed Season 1 a lot more. It was just all around better structured and more tightly written. Each arc mattered, each arc had its own build up and a satisfying payoff, while still being a part of a larger arc. Each arc organically led into the next one. Whereas Season 2, while not bad per se, just was not as great, and felt more disjointed and sloppy.
Still, Andor remains the best live-action Star Wars show, IMO. Excellent production value (with some rare blunders, like AK blasters and MOLLE tactical vests - but they were rare, otherwise quite impeccable), excellent cinematography, VFX, great acting, writing - all is good - and how Star Wars should be made, purely from a production standpoint. Though given what Gilroy had said in the interviews, show of this scale and budget probably will never happen again. Well, even if so, at least we got Andor.

My only personal gripe is apparent refusal to use any of the original Lucas-era aliens. I think I saw a Bith at the spaceport in S2, and maybe ONE twi'lek in the senate lobby, who had human skin color - but that's about it. Very few aliens, and the ones that were there were all disney-era aliens, who all look boring and bland. Very few times aliens got lines of dialogue or some focus, they were usually used for comic relief, and a bunch got to speak in the Senate - which is something, at least. Oh well. Not sure if it was the budget limitation, or Tony Gilroy just not liking Star Wars aliens very much.

Overall, I'd rate it somewhere around 8.5 or 9 out of 10.

This is going down at the moment as my favorite season, and in my opinion the best, season of Star Wars television. I loved it from beginning to end. The arc last week was probably my favorite overall but I really thought it closed out with a great arc as well. The last scene really got to me.

And he listened to it as preparation for his death.

I also love that they have no idea who speaks the manifesto, and seem to think that perhaps he’s still an important leader in the rebellion.

The year between the Ghorman massacre and the death of Luthen was worth a whole season by itself.
