My sister’s sister in law. Had a kid and my sister has been sending pictures. She’s officially an aunt. He’s a chunky boy but adorable

 

I don't know what's funnier between me being swole or the confusion over linking *prematurely*

I exercise a lot now, but that swole physique never happened, I'm just more lean/lanky than ever

 

Was Hutt's question ever answered, cause I caught myself asking the same thing.

Btw, reading the next few pages after its hilarious seeing me bring up being nervous about pre-college or being stared at on the train because that was my first couple weeks after moving, now I see...interesting people every day and think nothing of it

There’s what like 8 million people living in New York? Not even counting the people who commute in. Your bound to find plenty of interesting people

 

I remember when I was the youngest person here, but I lied about it. By the time I stopped I was no longer the youngest person here. Not that I was good at lying.

Yeah exactly, and it's crazy because it's so crowded that even tense or worrisome interactions with strangers pretty much don't matter the next day because there's so many people around

And sometimes people are so...idk eccentric that you can't even be mad about it, last week an old man with a walker kept threatening to hit me and one of my friends because we had our dogs. at the designated dog-friendly section of the park and then he left and never caused any issue since lol

My family keeps saying that I've been "city-fied" because of the same reason but I'm just gonna take it as their way of saying I've grown up too

 

I was in New York years ago. This would have been in 2018 or 2017 and there was a shooting a few blocks from us and the dude who was my tour guide is like don’t worry about it there is several hundred thousand people between us and the shooting

 

We both joined when we were 14 even though it was at different points in time haha

Its even more surreal now to think about people who made their accounts in like 2003

Same here!! I haven't been able to play Sparking Zero because I can't afford a latest gen console and it's been agonizing tbh I grew up with the Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi series so I've waited for a new game in the Tenkaichi format for years, I swear I've gotta save up for it before the online community dies out lol

 

I've had a few similar experiences especially when in the Bronx, my parents still regularly read news reports about crime on the MTA and get worried whenever I'm on it. Which is funny because I live in Astoria in Queens, and Astoria is one of the most chill neighborhoods in the entire city

 

I remember watching DBZ after Sailor Moon ended. Hard to believe they are the most popular 1990's anime people remember fondly.

 

I was born around the middle of DBZ's first run in the US so by the time I got to it it was already iconic, but even then it's crazy to see all the new series spinoffs, games and movies that have come out since I was a kid

 

It's a popular franchise and it did phenomenally well here in the west to the point its gone mainstream.
