I would say that ranking is out of personal preference, it's not really a ranking of which movie I consider *the best*, mostly because I see the six movies that GL made as indispensable pieces to the puzzle and each has a valid argument for being seen as the best one. The thing with ROTS for me is that it's the least enjoyable, given how tragic and sad it is. But it's also the key to the final integration of the saga, so I get why so many consider it the best.

 

Also I'm a sentimentalist and I kinda hate unnecessary change in general, so I voted to keep the name

There's this sub I'm a part of that's dedicated to facts and discussion about historical American presidents, and to keep it civil they have an entire rule saying all discussion must be about topics from 2015 and before

Your explanation makes a ton of sense with it being tragic and therefore less enjoyable based on that mine is based on personal preference too, a more objective ranking would have TLJ at easily second to last for me

And in terms of sentimentality, I fully admit that ROTS will always be so high for me because the excitement I felt watching it when I was 8-9 will always wake up inside me a little bit everytime I watch it

(For TROS, without going too much into it, I don't have a vehement hatred for it or anything and totally get why others may like it, but everything from the story to the way they added Reylo to the climax to even the minimal new additions to the score compared to how TFA having iconic new themes makes me feel like TROS has this air of "people are already mad so **** it, lets get this one over with and get onto something else they might like instead"

That's just my personal feelings on it though and aren't anywhere close to objective, others can and often will feel completely differently )

I'm reading this while walking my dog and ngl for a second when I saw TPM at 1 I thought you were just gonna listen the original saga in order

I'm always glad to see TPM get the love it deserves Qui-Gon is like one of my three favorite characters in the franchise and I absolutely love everything in Theed and on Coruscant

(Real ones like @s_heffley remember how much I used to be Dooku's number one fanboy/glazer back in like 2018 )

update on the situation with my girlfriends mother meeting the pope multiple times back in the day for those who care: apparently she doesnt really remember much but he was really kind and really funny and also my girlfriend 'met' him but she was so young that basically she was just in the same room as him and thats it

Nah but seriously I get how it's enjoyable, it has a lot of classic/iconic stuff in it and builds up suspense for a long time, it just doesn't hit for me at all

 

TPM, has always been a favorite of mine. You gotta remember I'm a 90's kid, so the PT is home to me. I was 8 when TPM came out. Bro, it was a time to be alive.

I was 13, when I saw ROTS in theaters. Ironic, that it was the first and only SW film to be rated PG-13.

I like the OT, but I LOVE the PT.

P.S Qui-Gon is one of the few jedi, I like. And I met Ray Park so that made me love Darth Maul and TPM more.
