Uh...no, no, and no to time traveling ETA: And if the originals return (it's looking likely imo) they'll play the same characters. I can't picture people being happy about them playing anyone else and I think (and I hope) Disney is smart enough to see that
Take your time. So far I got the generic "Insert OT/PT character is returning" covered. I also got some non-storyline ones like "Script sucks" "OT cast refusing to return until parts are bigger/smaller" "Big battle for creative control between JJ/Lucas/Kennedy/Arndt" and "CGI to be used heavily such as digitally deaging the OT 3"
What is this "fun"? What strange concept is that? EDIT: P.S. I don't think flooding a forum with nonsense threads is fun. It's really annoying actually.
To me, the idea of Star Wars having time travel is just as much as a no - no as Star Wars having flashbacks... its just Like someone said before: all that's going to accomplish is to make people ask "why the hell didn't they just travel in time all the way back to the events of The Phantom Menace and prevent everything from happening the first place!?" It must not be so! We don't need JJ Abrams n' friends to come along and hit the "alternate reality button" on everything they !touch
Don't get me wrong please! I for one love flashbacks, and I think they could be very effective, When done well ...in fact I wish Star Wars did have flashbacks. but the fact remains, no Star Wars episodes have flashbacks or are built to include Them effectively. so it would seem jarring IMO, if all of a sudden We see flashbacks in episode VII, after six episodes of none. Flashbacks...
The veteran of 108 posts in twelve years, that's some damn serious veteran stuff going on down there And no time travel. Not in Star Wars. Simply no.
I'm taking a wild guess that he meant in a Delorean. Maybe Luke will land on Varykino during AOTC. "Just say something, Anakin, say the first thing that comes to mind." "I don't like sand..." *shakes head* "Anakin, it's a wonder I was ever born."
LOL Thank you everyone, this is honestly the funniest string of posts I've read in a long long time!!!
NO...HELL NO!!!! NO TIME TRAVEL in STAR WARS!!!! I even found myself dry heaving when I read parts about Flow Walking! This is is NOT Star Trek. And speaking of that, it was the overuse of the time travel plot device in Star Trek that ruined that franchise for me. That and the parallel universe stuff.
