With the rumored Senate material Rogue One could be presenting, could we see the fantastic Ian McDiarmid make a comeback as the maniacal, cackling Sith Lord? :D

Yes, we'll see him and he'll probably do his thing again. [face_tired]

No, it's okay, I'm just not a big Palpatine fan. But it would be a good thing to bring Ian in again, I agree.

if there is a political scene than yes why not if not than it would be cool to see Vader/Tarkin have a conversation with holo Palps.

Is Tarkin going to be in it? Honestly I hope not, because Peter Cushing has already put a definitive stamp on the older version of the character.

there hasn't been any Tarkin rumors yet but you would expect the guy in charge of the weapon who's plans get stolen to be in the movie, unless they come up with some excuse that he had business elsewhere.:p

I'm 99% sure Ian will be back as Palpatine. I think Celebration kind of proved that. I'm hoping Rogue One will show Palpatine dismantling the Senate.

I hope you're right! I think Ian's performance is one of the most underrated in film history, so I really I hope we see him back. Like, I place him up there with Heath Ledger's Joker as far as great villains go. :D

I say save him for a major part in a future Vader Anthology film.

Yea, how he teaches Vader about Sith stuff is something that we haven't seen yet.

I thought there weren't going to be any Jedi or Sith in the movie?

You are misinformed. There are no Jedi in Rogue One, but Sith is another matter.

We've already gotten 6 films about Anakin though.

Lol. I was under the impression that it was going to be a more serious war-type movie (which I normally find boring as ****), so neither Jedi or Sith would really fit in.

Those were Ensemble pieces, you can't say *any* of them were "about Anakin." Plus, a Vader Anthology would focus on Vader as the main character front and center which we have never seen.

    Probably.
He did show interest in a live-action series, too.

Jedi don't fit in, because they would dominate the story and overshadow non-force using protagonists, but the Sith are antagonists and thus allowed to be OP. Also, I'm not sure Disney can resist using Darth Vader. They can't really use him in the ST, so he'll have to be in the spinoffs.

Another reason i foresee a Darth Vader Anthology film. They will want to use him for the face value alone. Better get one hell of a screenwriter, though.

Do they want to wait until 2020? James Earl Jones is unfortunately not getting any younger.

Why would they? They only have two movies on tap aside from the ST. If they're going to do a DV flick they better get on it. Then again, they could already be on it and just keeping it to themselves. That movie would write it's own check to itself. Who wouldn't go see it?

You think we'll get two SW movies in one year? I concede that could be quite possible, depending on how successful these movies are.

I don't know whether they will, either. But you're right, I don't see why they can't.

I mean, how many Marvel films do we get each and every year?
We just had the second Avengers, then Ant-Man. Fantastic 4 is right around the corner (which may or may not be part of the "MCU." I have no idea and couldn't care less. But they are Marvel Comics characters).
The MCU will then have a couple more films out next year, followed by three in 2017 and 2018. Then (at least) two more in 2019.
    That's a lotta Superheroes.

I think we could at least once, that or one of the Anthology films gets pushed off a couple years. They can't use Vader for the PT without asinine levels of retcon, who wouldn't to use want one of the most recognizable faces in pop culture in the franchise they just dropped 4 billion dollars on?

I don't think they will reschedule the RO or the Han Solo film they have just announced, so two movies a year it would need to be for this to happen.

The simplest option would probably be to do a Rogue Two if the first one is successful and put more Vader in it.
