I put a fan next to my face during the summer, and have a ceiling fan as well. Cools down the room considerably (I'm from the GOAT-y Windy City).

Thanks for remembering me, AMJ. I think I'm going to catch the Saturday ROTS screening, though. On Thursday, I'll be too busy watching the possible fall of another republic to be able to catch the fall of the Galactic Republic.

HELLO KIND PEOPLE! Sorry I haven't posted at all today; the last tapatalk update is making the app crash now, so I was having trouble accessing the boards.

Okay, soooooooooo I'm thinking perhaps we could do an AOTC viewing Saturday? Pretty please?

So based on the previous posts, I'm assuming Dagobahsystem, Pensivia, Bail B. Baobab, Huttese 101, Ezon Pin, maybe Dandelo too would be up for an AOTC movie night Saturday?

I feel like it makes more sense to watch AOTC instead of ROTS, that way we're still going in order (not that it really matters, since we've all seen them before ).

I just thought it would be nice to do that for those of us (like me and Hutt) who missed the first AOTC viewing; y'all are more than welcome to watch it again and join in for a 2nd time obviously.

Then we could do a ROTS viewing next weekend maybe; if Saturday works well for the AOTC viewing we can just stick with that.

And Saturday at 8:00 or 8:30 EST sounds good to me, Pensivia.

 

Wait! Two things! Gah, really need to get to bed, but I must share them first!!!!

1. Bloodline came today!!! Was so excited to come home from work and find it there on the doorstep, I started talking aloud to myself. (I did wear my SW shirt to camp today in the hope of sending positive vibes via the force, so I was so pleased it arrived today. ) And gosh is it good, I've already read the first 4 chapters; Claudia does such an awesome job with all of the characters. Just the portion I've read so far makes me love Leia even more.

2. I think AprilMayJune might enjoy this; got talking with the camp kids about SW today, and they are not fans of Boba Fett. And when I said, "I like Jango Fett better than Boba; he's cooler," this was met with resounding agreement from them. They are also big on Darth Vader and Chewbacca. And when I asked who I should be in their game of SW, they assigned me to play Princess Leia, because she's really good with shooting blaster guns (the kids' actual statement), as the mission was to take down dinosaurs with our blaster guns and lightsabers.

And apparently its a really slow night tonight, or I've killed the thread, or my posts aren't like worthy tonight. (JK Y'all are probably just out doing fun things IRL and/or too busy to be on the boards ) Anyway hope everyone has a nice day tomorrow!

 

Hey Valency Jane, I'm glad you're joining us on Saturday. The thing is, I know some of the people who are attending Saturday won't have another chance to see ROTS or participate in any movie night probably for several weeks after this. As a compromise (or bonus lol) I wonder if maybe we can squeeze in AOTC beforehand as a double feature? Could that work? I think some people here might go for that. And if I get home early I'd be happy to pop it in and join you guys.

 

Edit: actually never mind, no point explaining a mental disposition to people who do not have it themselves. as Obi-Wan says "not worth the effort"
