ST Episode 8 Title - The Last Jedi

Maybe. Maybe that's what Rogue One has done for SW. I am not sure we should believe him, but I guess he has no reason to lie.

 

Just thinking, if Kylo survives episode IX and if he's redeemed, then when Lucasfilm decide to make a sequel - sequel trilogy in a few years, Kylo could be a Jedi again, perhaps even while still living in Vader's old castle. If that happens, the title should be:

Star Wars Episode X: The Bast Jedi

 

Maybe he will train Osein Bolt, and it will be called The Fast Jedi

There are no bad ideas here..

 

The movie picks up where the last one left off in viewer time, not necessarily SW time. Imagine a Crawl which references events that haven't happened in the movie yet, but then jumps to Skellig to start off how exactly things got to the events of the crawl. In this way, you get fresh information in the crawl, while still starting where you left off. There are plenty of ways they can tweak things up.

 

SW won't be that complex.

Your idea is...it's...I was about to type "nuts" but then I was like "of course it's LastJediKnight!" (with all respect).

It defeats the purpose of a crawl.

I mean, I'm trying to apply that to Return of the Jedi (just as an experiment) and there's just no real point.

Maybe somebody else could come up with one for one of the movies, I don't know...?

I challenge you to do one for any of the movies we have thus far--convince me.

In Episode 7, Snoke gives away some key details about Episode 8. Including the title of Episode 8 and verifying who the Last Jedi is; Luke Skywalker.

It shows the first time Snoke speaks to Kylo, he tells him that if the BB8 is delivered, it will lead the resistance to the Last Jedi. "If Skywalker returns, he will give rise to the new Jedi"

This confirms that Luke is the Last Jedi, but not the Last of the Jedi. He must return from his island in order for the new Jedi, Rey and maybe Finn, to rise.

why is Snoke not afraid that Luke may return on his own? He cannot return on his own?

 

Luke might not be aware how bad things are. Luke may be waiting for someone particular to find him (Rey). We're not sure, but Johnson has said the question of "Why is he there?" will factor heavily into the film.

 

Those bodies belong to "The Clan". But even if they were Jedi they're clearly dead lol, so Luke is still the last one.

 

Yes exactly he is the last jedi but it maybe a double meaning, what happened to that 'clan' is what we learn perhaps from 'the last jedi'. The last persons trained by Luke and why he is the last one left.
