Honestly, I have just read the same arguments on a Reddit Reylo forum. And it is always the same arguments when a leak appears and some fans struggle with it: "There is no way this gets leaked...", "This is too detailed to be true...".

Based on what we have seen about the movie, I can't see a reason why these leaks won't end up being what is in the movie. Sure, they don't sound good. But, as TLJ proves, a SW movie can be pretty bad, so leaks sounding crappy are no proof of them being false.

I mean Rey shipped herself to Kylo in TLJ.[face_rofl]

made Rey less likable and pretty pathetic too.[face_shame_on_you]

Which is why they're apparently dumping Kylo Ren in a hole and letting Rey handle the final battle with two lightsabers and a bunch of Force ghosts. They have to make up for that moment in TLJ where Rey gripped the Idiot ball tightly.

Since when did falling down a hole kill off Force sensitives? Maul, Obi-Wan, Luke... and now apparently Palpy have all survived being chucked down a hole. In the recent Snoke comic, Snoke already pushed Kylo off a cliff and he used the Force to save himself...so we know he can do it.

If he falls you can be sure he will rise up again. [face_dancing]

As much as I'd like Kylo make it out alive: JP implies that both Kylo and Rey are drained from the force by Palpatine. A force-drained Ben Solo can't stop the fall into the pit using the force.

It does feel pretty deliberate doesn't it. I recall JJ Abrams once stating that he wanted to go in a different direction in this film, and this seems to fit from a certain POV. We know a force user can survive a long fall....but Kylo has been drained of power, the one thing he's coveted so much for two movies now, then tossed aside. Sure he get's to turn away from Darkness, and helps Rey against Palpatine...but in the end...his father's words come true...he is in fact destroyed, and with him gone the Skywalker bloodline comes to an end....which is another reason Rey takes it up in the films last scene. She CHOOSES to uphold the heroic legacy of the Skywalkers...which is something I do think JJ always wanted to empasize...you're choices make you a hero...not your bloodline.

Yeah, it's totally about your choices and not about being a Light Side demigod. Which she basically is. Which proceeds to undermine everything people say this trilogy represents thematicaly.

From what I've seen I would argue JJ's original intent may have been about choices defining who you are...however the second movie kind of lost that thread...and now he's left to try and pull that message out at the end. I know Rey beat Kylo Ren in TFA (Should've gone with the original idea of them being separated before a clear winner could be defined) however taking his injuries and turmoil into account it would've been easy to have her lose in a fight against Kylo Ren in the second movie, establishing just how much she still has to learn....RJ didn't want to do that so here we are.

Its implied Kylo might be one of the force ghosts.

And thats an absolutely dreadful way to go for the last 3 films in this trilogy. i don't think the fans will go kindly on him for that.

At this point if Kylo dies, the only possible way i could it working is if its to reunite him with his family as force ghosts. and this the emotional send off for the skywalke family and the skywalker saga. the family of 2 of 3 generations coming together.

IMO ending the bloodline is really tragic, because not only is it the bloodline for skywalkers but the solos too. and ending a bloodline is sad because you wanna feel a bloodline can go on for generations. this just feels like they got ahead of themselves abit.

Eh......the earliest bloodline we know is Shmi, not some dynasty that goes back a thousand years of Skywalker Jedi knights.

And while we know Han had a father, his Solo name was just made up on the spot.

Well presumbaly Shmi got her name from someone too. her father? her mother? there is a good chance there were skywalkers before her. unless we find out she got her name some other way.

Yep and unless Solo has family alive... he will be the last.

Kylo's arc has been probably the most important one for all three movies, so I'm trying to figure out what exactly it is. I mean, I guess it's the same as Vader's. He sacrifices himself out of love for Rey (on some level, even if Rey doesn't reciprocate), realizing he's not a good enough person for her and that he can't live on after the things he's done (like Vader) and that's what three generations of Skywalkers builds up to? The extinction of the family so they can all be ghosts? Pretty weird.

Still, that someone descended from Anakin isn't good enough to take on Palpatine after losing to a Palpatine in 100% of the fights they've had is a huge bummer if you've been watching the story since Episode 1.

RoS seems to be taking the narratively correct approach of definitively stating that Kylo's arc is not the most important arc of this trilogy. Rey's is, as it should be.

If the Skywalker Saga needed a Skywalker to ultimately take down Sheev, they should have made their protagonist a Skywalker.

I agree. I can`t stand Rey but she is the damn protagonist so it`s obvious she is gonna get the glory in the end and not Benny-Boy.

Btw, I guess that "Rey Skywalker" ending pretty much tells us JJ`s stance on any Reylo ending. I mean, if she somehow sees herself as part of the family, I don`t think she sees Kylo as any viable boyfriend material anymore. Unless this is supposed to be like the Flash TV show where the Wests adopted Barry and he later married his adopted sister and their father (who really sees himself as both their father and they see him as their dad also) made a lovely toast in the vein of "on this happy day where my son marries my daughter..." I guess that is gonna be the new Reylo template? [face_rofl]

Yeah, the entire notion that he is being played as that bad boy who falls for the good girl and melts like butter in her hand and of course is being good just for her. When even in TLJ, he wasn`t even willing to let a couple people on shuttles live at her request and screamed bloody murder about how he would kill her when she said "no" to him. The bad boy being tamed trope that Terrio is trying to invoke would have Rey asking him for help and he - even while he didn`t personally give a crap about the Resistance and would be quite okay with continued slaughter - would be helpless in the face of her doe eyes and do what SHE wants anyway.

Not to mention the way his "love" apparently manifests in what has been leaked for TROS. Apparently he "loves" her like Gaston "loved" Belle, some narcissistic fetish.

To me, his redemption will be pointless and lame if he just comes around because he has a crush on Rey and gives up his dark side ambition only because he failed to make her join his side.

Looking at the leaks we have so far it's no surprise he's acting differently around her than anyone else. He needs her to join him to achieve his goal of power which leads to him stalking her throughout this movie and constantly trying to either draw her over to his side and/or push her into anger. This apparently backfires on him as she runs her lightsaber through his chest. I am curious what spurs her to heal him if that's true. On the one hand she supposedly healed a monster earlier in the film so perhaps she's just trying not to kill anyone if she doesn't have to, and since we're really not hearing about her killing anyone else in this film beyond Palpatine that would make a sort of sense for her. She has aggressive tendencies so her reigning that in could be an attempt at showing character growth. On the other hand the back of her toy specifically mentions she (in this film) is worried about falling to the darkside...so perhaps she spares his life not because of emotions towards him...but simply because she's worried what killing him in that moment might mean for her own soul...which then leads to her running to Achto in fear she's about to repeat past mistakes.

If the stuff about Han convincing Kylo Ren to change his ways is true, then what Rey does is reduce him to a point where he'll actually listen to someone else whose words are actually capable of swaying him, she herself is not the one doing the swaying...which lines up with what we know about the film so far...as she's really not shown (in any leaks I've seen) to be reacting to him in anything close to a positive manner...and ALL their interactions are based off Kylo Ren initiating contact in an attempt to find her and bring her to Palpatine.

And then he get's thrown into a bottomless pit without his connection to the force...and for those of you saying Force users survive that all the time...the last Force user to be hit by lightening and then fall to their death never to return was named Mace Windu...and if they guy who flat out beat Palpatine in a lightsaber battle couldn't survive that I have my doubts Kylo Ren will.

Well leaks suggest in the end that Ben is the one talking Rey down from striking Palpatine in anger. which most will be like bah he stops her killing him, what an idiot! but in Star wars logic this is meant to be bad for her. she would basically go full dark like in her vision. now whether palpatine had a back up plan who knows. but he likely wants Rey to turn.

And yes it probably will be played that way. similar to ROTJ where Palpatine is saying stuff to get luke angry.

As for Windu, he could come back very easy at this point. he probably won't come back though.
