interesting tidbits http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9813117#post9813117 6.1 will have as much story as hearts and minds after that the next story update will 6.2, 6.1.1 will not have story.
I did also red that on SWTOR website about 6.1. If everything works correctly with PTS then it will be released in February. Eric Musco mentioned that they have alot of plans for the 10th anniversary with SWTOR. I think it will be new characters and new planets. The older characters such as old companions. That I want to hear from Vette Akaavi Mako Elara Raina Doc and others. What they think about their own opinions to be with the Republic, Sith Empire or the Alliance. If it is bad or good. Elara are loyal Republic and Raina are loyal Empire. What about Mako Vette Akaavi and Risha? Do they care if the Smuggler joins the Empire? Do they care if the Bounty Hunter joins the Republic?
Some new info - Task Force Nova dialogues. Spoiler Daeruun: I think we've taken care of everyone. Where should we speak about Task Force business? Player: Right this way. Daeruun: Our forces have been struggling since the loss of the Meridian Complex. We've given up the Atrivis, Bormea, and Anoat sectors almost entirely. Morale is suffering significantly. The chancellor is hoping our task force can turn the tide. Player: We'll get it done. Player: She can count on us. This war is far from over. Player: Our mission is to find Jedi, not to win popularity contests. Daeruun: Still, regaining a strong Jedi presence may well tip the scales, both in morale and combat effectiveness. DaeruunOur victory on Corellia still has the Empire reeling. Our forces have made significant gains in the Atrivis, Bormea, and Anoat sectors. Morale is higher than ever. Our task force will be staged for success right from the beginning. Player: That's great to hear. What's our first step? Player: Finding Jedi who've been in hiding for years is going to take a lot more than moving into a few territories. Daeruun: Yes, but the search will be much simpler in areas free of Sith interference. Player: Task Force Nova has barely gotten started. We aren't charging the front lines anytime soon. Daeruun: True enough. Though, on the subject of getting started...Aside from the occasional pirate, supply and communication lines between Odessen and Republic command appear to be secure. I've gathered an initial complement of security personnel and patrol ships to be stationed here. Dossiers and technical specs have already been forwarded to your staff for review. It would seem prudent to station additional forces here, as well--to support any urgent missions that come up. Player: We'd welcome anyone you can send. Daeruun: Perfect. I'll send the transfer orders right away. Player: Only on the condition that they stay in approved parts of the base. I'm sure you understand. Daeruun Of course. We have no intention of crowding your Alliance personnel. Daeruun: We have a full deployment of troops ready to station on Odessen, along with patrol ships and transports. They'll be at your command for task force objectives. Daeruun: Word of the victory on Corellia has spread, and a number of Jedi in hiding have returned to the fold. Even so, many of them have seen so much war... they are hesitant to return to positions on the front lines. We can certainly find other ways for them to contribute, but I fear the precedent we'd be setting. To defend the Republic is the duty of all Jedi. We can afford to give them time to re-center themselves before they resume combat assignments. Player: Jedi have more to offer than their lightsabers. Daeruun: True enough. I only hope they rediscover their full potential soon. Player: The Republic needs us all. We would never force someone to fight against their will--but if they won't serve as Jedi, then they should not be Jedi. Daeruun: A hard stance, but in these challenging times... it's best to be clear about our role. Daeruun: Even still, our numbers are perilously thin. But there are a number of Jedi still on Tython, serving largely in archival and research capacities. Many of them have not seen combat in more than a decade. But they are still Jedi--and it is the duty of all Jedi to defend the Republic. Player: If the Jedi on Tython are still contributing to our order, then we shouldn't force them into another role they're not suited to fulfill. Daeruun: No... you're right. We shouldn't fix something that isn't broken. Player: If they've been on Tython all this time, then they should be well-rested and centered in the Force. Ideal to rejoin the conflict. Daeruun: Perhaps so. Daeruun: On the subject of troops, a number of units have requested the opportunity to serve in the task force. Your reputation is quite a draw, after all. Essentially, we have our pick, from veteran front line units to less seasoned troops who are eager for the chance to contribute meaningfully. Which would you prefer? Player: Our mission is vital to the war effort. Only the best troops will do. Daeruun: Of course. I'll have it done. Player: Don't weaken our front line positions by pulling veteran units. Let's give the rookies a chance for some good experience and training. Daeruun: They'll be very excited at the opportunity. Daeruun On the subject of transports, we've had some issues with cargo ships moving through Hutt space. Nothing violent--not yet, at least. But we're seeing constant delays in refueling, purchasing supplies, and processing transactions in their territories. Delays we can't afford. I don't have much experience dealing with the Hutts, but I expect they're looking for bribes to speed things along. How would you approach the situation? Player: I say throw some money around--better to have friends than enemies. Daeruun: Fair enough. I'll have to get creative on the budget allocation forms. Player: Dealing with the Hutt Cartel is more trouble than it's worth, believe me. Find other routes for your transports. Daeruun: A lot of fuel to lose... hopefully the tradeoff in time and other costs will make up the difference. Player: [Saboteur] The Hutt Cartel acts tough, but they can't put up a real fight. Give them a bloody nose and they'll remember who's in charge. Daeruun: Risky, while we're so heavily engaged with the Empire... but if it will get our forces moving more quickly, so be it. Daeruun: I believe that covers our most pressing issues...? ?: You... you led Havoc Squad. I saw you once, on Tatooine. After the bombs... you helped then, too. Thank you so much. ?: Battlemaster! I've heard so much about you--my cousin worked at the Senate Tower on Coruscant! ?: Barsen'thor... did I get that right? My cousin worked at the Senate Tower on Coruscant--he told me stories about you!I can't thank you enough. Really. ?: You... you were at Drooga's! You and the Wookiee fought that gundark! My husband... he'd be dead if not for you. Thank you. ?: The Alliance Commander! You saved the whole galaxy! Saved by a celebrity! My brother will never believe this....We've been on the move since Corellia. I don't remember the last time we felt safe... thank you. Thank you... ?: I lost my husband on Corellia. If I'd lost my daughter, too... thank you. ?: This is well within our triage capacity, General. We'll have them all treated and ready to travel immediately. ?: Wonderful. Thank you, Captain. ?: We have plenty of supplies, General. We'll have them all treated in no time. ?: Wonderful. ?: Thank you. Daeruun: Such carnage. We tend to focus so much on the Sith that we forget the galaxy is full of other dangers. Player: Which pirates were responsible for the attack? Who were the pirates? Daeruun:We believe they were Dire Skulls, but we'll learn more once Tau and Arn capture them. Player: It's hard, but we have to focus on the biggest threat--otherwise, we'll get nothing done. Daeruun: You're right, but... I have to believe we can do more. We have a task force to run. Let's focus on that. Player: We can spare a moment, surely. Daeruun: There are quite a few supplies to distribute--perhaps we could lend a hand before we get to our other purpose here? Player: Of course. Let's do whatever we can. Daeruun: I can't think of a more worthy start for Task Force Nova. Shall we? Player: Do what you like. Find me when you're ready to get down to business. Theron or Lana: Looks like your guests from Task Force Nova are finally here--and they picked up a stray. Patching you through now. Daeruun: Commander!Master Jedi!Colonel!Commodore! Player: General Daeruun--is everything all right? Daeruun: I apologize for the delay in our arrival--we happened across pirates attacking a refugee ship from the mid rim. Shameful. Fortunately, we intervened in time. Tau and Arn are still chasing down the pirates, but the refugees are in dire need of medical supplies and other essentials. Our ships will touch down momentarily--see you shortly. We still have a few logistical matters to settle before we can begin in earnest. The Jedi on Tython can help the others we find get reacclimated to the order. Player: We should send more Jedi there, not less.[Saboteur] Send more Jedi to Tython. Daeruun: Hmm... a cautious approach, but perhaps also the wisest. I'll see it done. Player: Any word on Darth Malgus? I haven't heard anything since Corellia. Daeruun: None. Which is very strange... he should have returned to the front lines by now, even if his wounds were severe.I only hope we can determine his next move before he strikes again.... Small scene from (probably) upcoming story location: Spoiler Zeerid Korr: Aryn?Aryn! What's wrong? Aryn Leneer: It's him. Malgus. Zeerid Korr: Malgus? What do you mean? What about him? Aryn Leneer: He's almost here... I can sense him. He's coming to Dantooine. Zeerid Korr: Then let's be ready.
Spoiler Well if you look at the previous post with the Empire-side dialogue, you see that Malgus is struggling to resist a form of mental conditioning. He comes to the conclusion that the conditioning technique had originated on Dantooine, so he's almost certainly going there to look for a cure.
I am wondering about Elara Dorne. My trooper didn't kill Jorgan and I did not choose Empire. It was something she didn't like about Zakuul for a bad choice and no interest to join my alliance. Will she come back now as a 2nd chance. That I will not saboteur for the Republic against the Empire. I did not kill Theron Shan in Nathema. It is important for Jace Malcolm and also for Elara to be with the trooper again. Do you get any message from any old companion after you complete the Onslaught?
How do you find that dialogue. I used to look on jedipedia but don’t see the patch info Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Do you get any message from any old companion for your class when you completing the Onslaught after Spoils of War? Do you think Elara Dorne will return to you for the war against the Empire? She didn't on Iokath if you killed Jorgan or other bad choice with Zakuul. Tanno Vik might return if there are any new VO. Zenith will return like Tharan Cedrax style. Scorpio as another droid or as a human.
Vik definitely isn't dependent on a new voice actor. They had already recast him for Fallen Empire. The devs already came out and stated that they purposely made it so Vik would be the one non-recruitable companion in honor of his original voice actor. Zenith will probably return like Tharan and Doc and them all, I agree. Interesting about SCORPIO. There was actually a planned conversation/mission from the post-Ossus questline where we would revisit GEMINI Prime (who had been deactivated since KOTFE). It's possible she would have been a new companion to replace SCORPIO, but the mission was cut so we'll never know.
There will be two small scenes with Elara (regarding refugee crisis) and Vector (regarding Rivix) in the upcoming update. Spoiler As it was already pointed out, it seems that Malgus wants to free himself from his mental conditioning. He believes that on Dantooine such technique (that alters your mind) can be performed. How this ties to Aryn Leener? I have no idea. I don't remember that she was capable to perform such feat in the novel and IIRC Malgus had no idea that Aryn and Zeerid have settled on Dantooine. It seems that Malgus is searching something more related to planet's history or location than specific person. Only one thing comes to my mind - Revan's mind wipe in (probably) Jedi Enclave on Dantooine (devs have said in the past that they would like to make Enclave explorable in the future content). Malgus should be aware of this. For a time he controlled HK-47 and mentioned that his databanks can be "useful". Yeah, for some reason Jedipedia has been silent for the last two PTS updates. They rarely posted any dialogue info. I have datamined them myself form PTS files.
I have that comic book about Malgus from the Decieved. He spared the female Jedi because she didn't kill his twilek companion Eleena. It is great that Elara and Vector will say something. Anything about Jorgan Raina Nadia Doc Vette Quinn Kaliyo Mako Risha or Jaessa? Khem Val? Ashara? Lt Finn?
Upcoming Elara scene: Spoiler Player: Looks like all of the refugees got squared away. Elara: Yes--the mass triage drills have proven their worth. To be honest, it was a bit exhilarating. Like the old days. Player: Something on your mind, Elara? Player: Things were a lot more straightforward back then. Go here, blow up that, report back to Garza's office over and over....It used to be easier. Elara: We were fortunate to have that reserved hangar on Coruscant, certainly. Player: Colonel overseeing a task force is a big improvement over a lieutenant commanding a single squad. Player: Commanding the Alliance is incredible. You couldn't pay me enough to go back to grunt work. Elara: I can certainly understand that. I've become so embroiled in my duties as an officer over the years, I've moved away from my medical work almost completely. I miss it. Elara: And now that the Alliance has joined the Republic, my liaison work is all but nonexistent. Elara: And with the Alliance working directly with Task Force Nova, my liaison work is all but nonexistent. Elara: I have time for more, and I know how I'd like to spend it. I want to form a rapid response search-and-rescue unit. Soldiers with equally extensive combat and medical expertise who can extract friendly personnel--civilian or military--from harm's way, stabilize them, and return them to safety. Player: Sounds like a great idea. Put in all the requests you need and I'll back them. You have my full support. Elara: Thank you--I'm glad you agree. Player: Would you be leading this unit, or training them? Elara: Both, I'd expect--in the beginning, at least. Once they're fully operational, I could pass on command and shift to other duties as needed. Player: I'm not convinced we could spare the resources to train up a unit like this. Elara: Weighed against the losses we'd incur without such a unit, I don't believe we can afford not to have them. I'll complete my full proposal and submit it to you and General Daeruun for review. Elara: Now, that will need to include a PK-87-5 personnel requisition, an AX-590 supply outlay request, at least twenty GR-10s.... Player: [Romance] Not so fast. Now, now--you don't get to dive into all of that fun paperwork until you have at least one drink to celebrate with your boring old husband. Player: Now, now--you don't get to dive into all of that fun paperwork until we have at least one drink to celebrate. Elara: Oh, must I? Same old Dorne. I guess things haven't changed as much as you thought.Hm? I--oh. Yes. Perhaps not. Player: [Flirt] I love that glow you get when you're thinking about paperwork... it's always made me smile. Elara: Really? Player: Really. Elara: I could keep working on this while we share a drink or two... if you're interested? Player: I'm interested. Elara: Well. After you, then. Upcoming Vector scene: Spoiler Vector: We are glad you could join us. This Darth Rivix is an intriguing individual. We witnessed his work for the Imperial Diplomatic Service once. Player: Tell me about him. Vector: It was a meeting with Hutt Cartel representatives, many years ago--before we first heard the song of our nest. We sought arrangements for the use of hyperroutes in Hutt space--routes they were resistant to share. Until Rivix arrived. He had sway over the negotiator almost immediately. Not in the way Sith sometimes force their will on others... such tricks do not work on Hutts. This was different, somehow. We felt it also, though we spoke with him only briefly, and couldn't recognize the effect until hours later. Did you feel it? Player: Possibly. I did feel intrigued by him, though I couldn't put my finger on exactly why. He was unnaturally charming.... Vector: It was the same for us. Perhaps there is no deeper mystery, but... we cannot shake the feeling of something more. Attractive and charming, with a hint of danger... all common traits that clever operatives use to gain an advantage. Player: I don't think there's anything more to it. Vector: But we suspect there is more to the situation. We are not so sure. Player: If he had some kind of charm, I didn't notice it. I honestly couldn't be rid of him fast enough. Vectoe: Interesting. Perhaps your will is stronger, or your mind more resistant. Or, perhaps it really is nothing. In any case, we wished to make you aware of these facts so that you are prepared for future encounters. Player: [Romance] And that's why I love you--because I can always count on you. Vector: We would make a poor husband otherwise. Vector: We would make a poor mate otherwise. Player: I'll be cautious. Thank you, Vector. I'll be sure to watch for anything strange the next time I meet with him. Vector: We are pleased to have helped. Player: I can always count on you, Vector. It means a lot to me. Truly. Vector: And you mean much to us. Truly. Player: [flirt] Perhaps... we could spend some time discussing other interesting things the nest tells us? Vector: Absolutely. We look forward to sharing what we've learned. Player: Is there anything else you can tell me about Rivix? Vector: We are afraid not. The encounter was brief, but clearly, an impression was left. But still... stay a while. The nest tells us many other things you may find interesting.... Player: Next time you have some nonsensical concern, keep it to yourself. Vector: As you wish. We leave you to your important work, then. Not at the moment. Spoiler As for the story content it seems that what we will get in the upcoming update are: - Scene introducing the Hand and the Task Force Nova and their representatives. - Scene with Kira and Scourge. - Scene with Vector (for Imperials - Agents only?) and Elara (for Republic players - Troopers only?).
The question is again about Elara for my 2nd trooper as none romance option. I choosed to support Republic and spared Jorgan but did a bad choice with Zakuul. Elara are not on the companion recruit. He will support the Republic after Nathema conspiracy and Ossus. Will she now after Onslaught to be with the trooper for the Republic? If the trooper can avoid to not saboteur the Republic because of Elara to be interested.
I guess Charles Boyd is staying true to what he said on the livestream. We will be revisiting the old companions gradually over time. It's an interesting strategy, throwing in the occasional class-specific scene with a companion who fits the situation (technically they already did this with the Mandalorian companions on Mek-sha, though to a lesser extent since there was no romance or anything). Obviously some classes are going to get the short end of the stick as they wait indefinitely for their class-specific scene, but I guess this is the best the devs can do for now. Predictions: Spoiler That said, I wonder who they'll bring in next. It's possible we'll see some of the Jedi/Sith companions (Ashars, Nadia, Jaesa) given that the current phase of the war is gathering/eliminating the scattered Jedi survivors. We also have the whole Malgus conditioning thing, so maybe we get insight on companions with a history involving mind techniques, like Iresso or even Vector again. We also keep getting mentions of increasing piracy which could involve Andronikos or Corso or Risha. If any case, I'm looking forward to it.
I'm particularly curious about these two lines of dialogue: Spoiler Player: [Romance] And that's why I love you--because I can always count on you. Vector: We would make a poor husband otherwise. Vector: We would make a poor mate otherwise. I'm wondering if the flag for what response you get depends on whether or not you married Vector in vanilla SWTOR?
SOURCE: http://www.cinelinx.com/news/knight...-remake-might-be-back-in-the-cards-exclusive/ Here we go again! Considering that it was officialy confirmed that they are working on something KotOR related, who knows this might be true. I would certainly love to play a remake with modern graphics!
So would I, but from the sounds of this it WON'T be a remake, but a reimaging. Taking elements from both games and combining them. As someone who LOVES KOTOR and HATES KOTOR2, I won't find much I like. (KOTOR2 being a critical darling means it will likely swamp the better, but more standard story in KOTOR). Especially since the writer for KOTOR2 is working for respawn. As well we don't know what the gameplay will be like. So I see nothing positive in this news, at least not at this stage.
Query: Is that an oh of excitement or intrigue? I mean if people want to get excited about this go for it. I don't think we have enough info (generally) to get excited, or pessimistic honestly, haha. I do this game (if it happens) does not hurt SWOTR.
Intrigued excitement. I haven't allowed my expectations of something to interfere since, oh, Millennium Falcon, by James Luceno. So I am forever open-hearted to what could come. It best damn well not interfere with TOR. I want an ending damnnit.
This wasn't bad news, it means that we are probably going to get a sequel game to Jedi Fallen Order which I liked and the news of doing an updated combined rpg game containing both elements from KOTOR 1 and 2 is awesome. My question is as we near the 10 anniversary of the MMO game, is why haven't we gotten some type of book that is updated and talks about all the campaigns and wars that occurred within that time period.
I would prefer SWTOR to keep going personally. Since we are FINALLY back to the war. Likely cause it's legends and Disneylucas does not seem to want to make anything new for legends.
