The Mandalorian Din Grogu [Baby Yoda] (Spoilers)

Maybe Grogu was in the Temple the whole time just hiding cause he's good at that and small. When Obi-Wan and Yoda split up, Yoda senses him and finds him. Sitting around a bunch of corpses for hours before Yoda gets there could be the reason for the blackout besides witnessing all the murdering as it was happening.

Yoda knows he doesn't have a whole lot of time because he needs to get to the Senate and just randomly Moseses him somewhere in Coruscant. Maybe he even tries to find him again with Bail after the fight with Palpatine but Grogu's long gone and ultimately decides that its for the best for the same reason that he has to go into hiding.

 

Other thing: Bail clearly was dear ally of the Jedi and would make sense he knew about Grogu.
Also mind this: many people is saying that Luke could appear in Tython, but with Bail saving the child formely known as Baby Yoda the more logical connection would be Leia. Wich would be a great "twist"

 

I'd prefer it to be Leia to be the one to hear the seating stone ping as well.

 

I it was Bail then between ROTS and AHN he most have hid him somewhere secret maybe with a guardian of the whill or a church of the force priest.

 

I bet when Grogu sits on the seeing stone we get a flashback to whoever saved him and then that’ll be the Jedi he reaches out to. My bet would be Yoda and he then appears as a Force ghost to Grogu.

 

Yoda apears to Grogu like Mufasa to Simba. And next season a jedi comes in to play.

 

odly enough, it seams almost stupid for him to be trained by a single human jedi

by his growth speed, he wouldnt even be a teenager by the end of the new trilogy.

I guess the original plan was for him to be trainned by different masters, during at least a couple of generations. Or yoda.

And he would end up being something like yoda. May be being in his prime at his 200ds

I m not sure he can weild a lightsaber yet, and do all the yoda style jumping, and he is almost 60 years old!

 

I think that, based on Ahsoka's comments, Grogu's actual biological age is less important than we thought. Sure, he's 50 biologically, but given her comments about everything psychologically going dark for him post-Jedi Temple, until he sort of "reawakened" into a new life with Din. It seems to me that those 20 odd years in between for the Child must have been awful, with all kinds of trauma that ultimately caused him to completely shut down and left him emotionally/psychologically stunted for that period of time. Even now, with him living a better life, he can't seem to recall any of that period.

Maybe other members of Yoda's species are actually more advanced than this by 50 years old, and Grogu is currently operating at the level of a 25-30 year old.

 

I think Grogu is around 5-8 in human years and by the ST he'll a a young teenager.

 

Can we talk about how deeply heartbreaking it is to learn that this adorable little child has experienced such severe trauma (potentially witnessing a genocide and fleeing into exile)? So much trauma that his mind has blacked out a lot of his past, and he’s had to actively hide his identity/ abilities to avoid being killed? I don’t think most viewers were expecting that kind of emotional depth to this little guy. For me, that was the most profound thing about the episode. On the level of the little Hodor reveal in GoT.

 

I nearly burst into tears when the little guy’s head bowed in sadness when Ahsoka started talking about it. Now I think we know why he was blacking out whenever he started using the Force. He’s had to suppress it for so long and there’s such trauma associated with it that it takes all his strength just to use it for brief moments. But as he’s spent time with Mando and become close with him he’s become stronger and is no longer blacking out.

Let’s hope Grogu doesn’t end up with a lightsaber in this show. That would look supremely stupid.

 

I think he's too young for that, he'll have a lightsaber later in the timeline way after this show. But man give the guy some protection. Maybe give him a full suite beskar armor. I really feel for Grogu and sad for him and his dark days and feeling alone. Hopefully he gets his simba momment with Mufasa/master Yoda force ghost.

Well, well, since the show begun Grogu was the object of at least one murder attempt and witnessed at least 2 gruesome deaths per chapter, so it'was not surprising at all this "painfull past" stuff. He was hidden in a fortress in an obscure outer ring planet, with lots of guards to defend him just because he needed that kind of protection.
The reason behind his attachment to Mando is because Djin must have been the first person he saw that save him from death in quite a while ( end of first chapter).
That's why the mistery about who was keeping him in that fortress is interesting despite being always overlooked.

 

Hehe hopefully not that long, i think when reach close to 100 years old he can get a lightsaber, I think Yoda probaly Had when he was in his 80's or 90's.

I don’t think this show will do many time jumps. Other than maybe an epilogue I don’t see this show going beyond 2 years max in the timeline

 

Yeah same i just say later in the timeline is when he gets his lightsaber.

 

Greef’s beard went gray, Cara became an established and known Marshall, and Nevarro city was turned into a bustling and greened location, in between season 1 and 2. How much a time jump has there been already?

Or never. They can do anything with the Jedi in this new era. So they can dispense with the idea that all Jedi must have a lightsaber or wear the same robes. If it looks dumb for you to wield a sword because you’re tiny, you are given something else. Like...a light ball. That would suit Grogu better anyway, given his love of little round things.

 

Yes. This whole season has been adding depth, but this episode really brought it home.

I wonder if his eating habits suggest something about his past. It may be he didn't have access to food regularly once he went in hiding, or even worse, food was withheld from him to make him do what others wanted.

Or maybe he's just a hungry kid, and that idea is too dark for this show.

Well, as for who saved him, I think Bail Organa and Jocasta Nu are good candidates. But it could be anyone, including someone less than heroic.
