So apparently the blue logo is official, although I don't understand the Mortis tweet above.

Honestly my first thought with a blue logo is... well... blue... there is that one guy who's blue...

    Max Reebo of course.

The blue logo feels very 70s French sci-fi comics to me. Maybe this will be Star Wars meets Valerian ...

    ... not literally of course.

Well, couldn't be worse than the Valerian film we got.

It was visually brilliant but the story, oh dear.

If High Republic is the KOTOR-esque past thing, Taika will go further back and give us psychedelic ancient times that are metaphor and literal at the same time like MORTIS and Force Priestess stuff on spice! I mean what better to portray ancient facts than in a way that people needn't take it literally unless they are wookieepedians.

But, I still doubt Taika would portray the beginnings like Dawn of the Jedi and Ach-To. But I totally could buy into him doing something with Tython, or maybe Ruin and pre-Bane Sith, like the tale of a previous Chosen One, the Mortis family and how it ended up on Mortis, why they used the 2000+ years old Jedi distress signal etc.

Makes me wonder though if SW metaphysics end up looking like Marvel's MCU cosmic tales where spacetales as well as microcosm as per Antman are very psychedelic in color, humor and less hard scifi. It would kinda fit Lucas microbiotic world and the like, but I want a difference to the MCU visually nevertheless.

PS: At this point I'd even consider Taika adapting ALIEN EXODUS on screen and I'd be glorious! Dang now I want that to happen! Give us the Lucasverse and have Taika connect, THX1138, American Grafitti, SW, Indy, Willow and more!

Be pretty amazing if that could be pulled off (though I didn't like the TCW Mortis arc, personaliy, especially when the ambiguous end got clarified at the next opportunity).

There was an Assassin's Creed novel where the collective human unconscious is represented by story archetypes - your Odinesque wanderers, never-ending forests, giant snakes and the like - as people were figuring out the world while the species developed so an ancient GFFA which is some ethereal monomyth thing could be quite the experience.

I'm not going to lie. What was under the spoiler tag in the original post was what I immediately thought of. I didn't realize it wasn't supposed to be until I saw your response.
Come now, I think a little humility could be in order.

I hope this film is set in the Old Republic era, or even further back into the pre-Republic era.

If not, its going to be a missed opportunity.

Those eras have such a large gold mine, that it is surprising that so far the only confirmed project (not based in literature) not set during the Saga Timeline is "The Acolyte".

I'm not so sure that even if this a crazy, trippy Force phenomena story it would have to be set before TPM. After all, Mortis happened during the Clone Wars. A film about regular Star Wars folk encountering weird ancient artifacts could take place in any era.

You know, this may sound schmaltzy, but as a Star Wars fan since before I had a second digit (yes, my parents are awesome), I experienced a sort of "warm and fuzzy feeling" sensation when this unexpected kriffload of new announcements dropped. Like probably everyone, I assumed that the reason Lucasfilm had been so quiet this year was due to a) COVID, and b) being blindsided by the violently polarized reaction to the ST and unsure how to proceed. But it turns out that it was because, to quote a friend I was discussing this with on another site, they had a ton of "irons in the fire."

Oh yeah that's very much possible. I think people assume it might be set in the past is because in a interview a while back Kathleen Kennedy mentioned Star Wars has 25,000 years worth of history.

That's a big number to go by especially since the actual Saga only takes place through a timeline of 60 plus years.

That's sort of a stretch. The thing on the Dawn of the Jedi cover is a Tho Yor. That thing KK is standing in front of (what's that a screenshot from, anyway?) looks nothing like a Tho Yor, other than the obvious fact that they're both comprised of two triangles joined at the base.

You know, no one brings this up but everyone thinks that this film is like 20,000 years in the past but as @Jedi Comedian said, Jedi Force Weirdness can happen whenever.

What if this Post TROS (Rey and Friends go to Mortis)

Though granted I feel like if that were the case they'd advertise that a bit more...Unless this has nothing to do with Rey and Co and another Force User....But who knows what if this is post TROS oriented too for all we know.

    Shouldn't you be asleep?

Also, total faith in the future film is not mutually exclusive with relaxation.
