    -------------------------------------

Discussion of New Episodes - Rules
    (1) One of the mods will post each week's episode thread a day or two before it airs on Disney+.

    (2) Official episode commentary may be posted in this episode thread.

    (3) Discussion in the actual episode thread will be limited to that specific episode, NOT future episodes; past episodes may be referenced. Speculation based on released material is permitted.

    (4) Andor episodes air on Wednesday on Disney+. Anyone who shares plot details about an episode before then must use spoiler tags. After that folks will begin discussing their reviews and thoughts without tags which will likely include spoilers. To anyone concerned about being spoiled before watching the episode it is your responsibility to avoid the thread until you have had your chance to view.

    (5) All leaks and rumors must be spoiler tagged until they are either proven or disproven.

    (6) Reviews for each episode may be posted once they have aired. One of the mods will add a grading poll to that episode's discussion thread.

I loved the way they juxtaposed the events of this episode by putting them after episode 1 but before episode 3. Great editing.

I was really grateful for the "Previously On...". I honestly felt like I hadn't even watched Episode 1.

This was a slower one. I think the first and third episodes were better, but this was still good.

Slow burn of an episode for sure, not a whole lot to say about it. Syril Karn seems like a character I'll enjoy hating in this (I mean that in a good way).

I really like the design of B2EMO, reminds me of Wall-E.

I don't know, he seemed really poorly acted, Syril Karn that is and it was made even worse in ep 3 when playing off two excellent actors in our protagonists. B2EMO was great, totally believed he was a robot.

Syril Karn has to be a descendant of General Hux. That kind of fanaticism has to run in the family. :p

This episode is allright. Nothing wrong with it; but nothing too great.
Maybe due to the early morning hour, I got a bit distracted as it felt rather slow.

This series definitely seems more adult oriented than the others on D+, with almost no fan service and lots of expository dialogue and blunt force kills.

Aside from many other virtues, this show is also already great with ship designs, I very like this corporate transport with several smaller pods attached.

A wasted opportunity, though, making CIS pilots humans, would be even narratively better (since they are meeting with the unknown) if kids would meet Neimoidian or Koorivar.

Episode 2: the development, we meet more about the characters, and put what we can expect for episode 3, another solid episode.

That's more of a general problem with this show. It's very human-centric. It's maybe a problem with Tony Gilroy, too. He doesn't care much about Star Wars and has no reverence for it, as he said, so he doesn't care much about aliens and maybe doesn't even think of them as characters, he cares about human drama - which means they are all supposed to be humans? Aliens seem to be more of a background prop, which is also why they are all so bland and uninteresting here.
I don't think there was even one alien from any of the George Lucas' Star Wars.

It is a little slow, this episode was short and kinda sweet. We get set up for the third episode, which is why they put these two together. Waiting a week to see this episode would have left us with a scratch on the head, but it was good. We see more of Maarva and Cassians roots. We see how the off world corporate sector operates. Dialogue was hard to grasp sometimes but another good episode. The more Ajorna undressing the better.

    10/10.

The short stocky corporate security guy is an instant classic bad guy with instant classic lines. The dialogue in this is very good.

Every single live action Star Wars film and TV show is human-centric. Every one. With aliens as either minor characters, or as background. This is no different. In fact, there were way more aliens in this than I expected there would be.

Makes sense. Kyle Katarn in the original Dark Forces seems like the starting point for Cassian’s character.

It’s ironic the first mission of Dark Forces is stealing the Death Star plans. That could have been the plot for the entire game.

    Who is Maarva?

Did you see the bantha doll? I love little details like that.

Maarva sure looks like Fiona Shaw, but she's not in the credits.

Correction: Yes Fiona Shaw was in the end credits, but does not show up on IMDb.

Another good episode. Again a lot of set up, but it was very enjoyable.
