Thats the charm of the show. This isn’t Andor or The Clone Wars. It's mostly The Bad Batch doing mssions. Its similar to Rebels in that regard.

In the begin, i thought that would be filler, but it was ok, and Cid in the future, well, don't surprise for something bad that she will do.

I personally loved this episode! Colorful, world building, new sport, new planet, new characters, an entirely new roster of racers, Phantom Menace vibes, etc. I actually laughed out loud several times, and I never thought humor was a strong suit for the animated side of the franchise. I demand a PS2 Riot Racing game!

There’s a racer named after Sid Vicious (I think? I have to rewatch) and also a racer named “The Trickster” Flash after Mark Hamill’s role in The Flash 1990/2014.

This franchise needs to take some more detours from the monotony of pew pew laser battles of galactic importance; I think you can have “filler” and make fun and interesting. I think I had more fun watching Mandalorian build a hot rod starfighter with a crazy lady than I did watching Boba Fett ride a rancor.

I liked this episode a lot.

it was just a fun aside with racing.

I wonder how much more difficult it would have been to make these pod racers? Seems that animation is much more complex.

While pod racing never really caught on as a concept on its own. It is unique. I haven’t seen any other series ripoff pod racers. It’s an interesting concept - two jet engines with a chariot dragged behind.

I enjoyed the episode having some fun and taking a break from the Empire being grim.

Why did Tech use his real names? Wouldn’t Goggles have been a better racer name for him?

I don’t mind. Just diversify the galaxy’s sports scene a little more. We have so many games on earth all revolving around moving a dumb ball around.

Well, I doubt I'll ever revisit this episode, but it was a good bit of fun nevertheless. It seems like everything that Resistance should have been--it's like all the best (or, least bad) parts of season 1 of Resistance, in one episode. Except with good animation. And jokes that are, you know, funny.

I laughed at the scene where one random member of the audience gets shot dead by random laser blasts and everyone around him cheers. That seemed like a bit of very Lucas-esque humor that's often missing from Disney Star Wars.

I forgot Resistnce’s original pitch to viewers made it seem like a racing show. Maybe like speed racer meets tailspin set in Star Wars.

Then the actual series had very little to do with racing.

Not saying that’s good or bad. Just what happened.

I find it pretty amazing how we get a racing oriented episode of Star Wars with characters representing Sonic the Hedgehog and The Flash

That was a fun episode. Nothing spectacular but I enjoyed it quite a bit. I love TAYO. I hope they can put him back together. :(

I'll be honest - I was bored by this episode. Racing in Star Wars has never been something that has interested me outside of video games, so an entire episode dedicated to racing isn't my cup of tea. We did get some character development for Cid, though, so that was nice.

I enjoyed this episode, it was refreshing to see Cid travel with them personally and find a new use for them.

Nice to see a Nausarian in animation and I loved the alien crew.

I like how they teased Cid having a dark past hopefully it’ll pay off later on, I like the idea suggested in here of her being involved with Trandoshian slavers.

All the racers looked awesome love how a couple of them were battle droids.

Planet looked nice again, is it another brand new one?

My only complaint is that none many of the racers bit the dust, I was hoping to see something like Death Race where nearly everyone perished.

The racing was cool but it was mainly filler (we'll see if anything else happens with Cid down the road). I did like the synth score during the final race, it was different than the usual Kiner stuff. 6/10

I like this episode. I thought Tay-0 was hilarious, that sort of dumb humor, and his design just worked for me. I also liked a droid getting up in peoples faces and being like, "Human, I'll tell you what to do." I hope he gets repaired in the future. Also, the announcer was hilarious. It makes sense to me there would be a reprogrammed Commando droid and another with a B1 head. After all the battles that took place during the war. The old fallen Battle Droids probably provide plenty of salvable spare parts. Also this may have formerly been a Seperatist world.

I hope someone involved in Star Wars Video Games takes notes. A Star Wars F-Zero X game based on this episode's racing would be fire. This episode feels like "Evil Plans" from The Clone Wars, I didn't have time to watch the credits and from a google search it shows that episode was written by Matt Michnovetz, I would have guessed it was Christian Taylor.

Remember the infamous "filler" episode from last season called "Infested"? This picks up where it left up with Cid outright involved in shady bets this time. She almost certainly bought along some of The Bad Batch because she knew there was a high probability she'd end up in a debt she couldn't pay and then it would be tickets. Perhaps she even figured Tech and Wrecker would flat out kill the gangsters she owed money. But, they had their moral compass Omega there to try to steer things in a direction that was less likely to end in fatalities. That could have annoyed me on its own.

However it was nice to see Tech, Wrecker, and Omega split off on their own mission. Tech has learned from past mistakes after the incident with Roland and the Pikes. He and Wrecker were probably fully capable of rescuing Cid and blasting their way out. Even killing her racing bet rivals. But Tech realizes that would likely just put a target on their backs after the escape and trouble would follow them back. Tech also seems fed up with Cid in this episode. But Goggles still goes through with fixing the racer and Tay-0. Eventually, circumstances force Tech to take over and do the race himself. Decent character development. His reaction to getting cheers was priceless. On the other hand, he should have thought of a stage name. Imagine Rampart sitting on the toilet in some downtime and reading on his Space-Google Feed, "Tech, rogue clone trooper wins race."

The warning which mainly goes to Tech (Wrecker probably won't pay it any attention) goes with the one Roland gave Omega last season. If nothing else Cid is using them. Last season Tech thought the Bad Batch should be off somewhere keeping a really low profile. Not doing Cid's missions. Now, Tech is starting to see where his skills help people and are worth more than he realized. He's more than likely going to end up on Echo's side wanting to do more against in the Empire. I wonder if the foreshadowing is Cid's involvement with Crimson Dawn and the Bad Batch getting dragged into this. Or, if when the Empire does show up at Cid's doorstep that loyalty won't work the other way. Knowing this show its more likely a death flag for Cid when they do. She'll buy them time.

Fun episode, although it's really an argument for a more dangerous series about podracing.

Yah the setup of the show is inherently episdoic, crew hangs out at bar, goes out on a mission. This is the show.

But anyway great guest cast, Ernie Hudson as the big dude! Ben Schwartz as the lippy droid!

Blah. After last week's 10/10 rating from me, this one dropped the bar pretty far down. The focus is back to Cid's place and CF '99. Where did Wanda Syke's character go? I thought she'd become a regular. So the premise of the "mission" today is that Cid has a dog in a race and she needs....body guards. They're now racing modified speeders; not exactly Anakin's pods. Some trivial obstacles in the race but the notion of no rules means it's every man for himself. The outcome was fairly predictable; not just who'd win but pretty much how they'd win. As someone else suggested above, I'd also consider this a "filler" episode if it wasn't for the main characters involved. Doesn't add much to the story aside from some mystery surrounding Cid's background and motives.

TAY-O was a fun addition and fit in with the light-hearted tone of this episode, and the overall Saturday morning cartoon mould. Interesting design too. The detail of the animation is very good, especially on the technology.

If TAY-O were brought back, I can see how he could remain condescending and funny with added gravitas through silence or "deep" dialogue. Like K-2SO in some ways, but TAY-O is his own.

There is also a reference to Resistance. The guy who hits Tay-O looks like Bo Keevil.

10 out of 10 for me.

We hadn't seen anything remotely close to Pod Racing in a very long time, and that one was done extremely well. The designs, the animation, the nuances of the races, all were great. Add to that some good humor, great music (Kiner has stepped up his game), great world building once again, and I am sold. Plus, Tech is my favorite clone, so there goes that.

I might sound like a broken record, but I felt that this episode was more fun, more novel and more Starwarsy than all the sequels combined. I could watch TCW, Rebels and TBB all day really, I love all these shows.

I did not know that Thanos is in Star Wars.
