It sure looks like it. I don’t recall if we ever saw the outside of Saw’s base in season 1.

 

Only a shot of Luthen landing near the base.

 

I imagine saw had to abandon that base since there were imperial patrols there. And I imagine they only got worse after luthen's spinning trick.

 

We do (Segra Milo). Below. It looks quite different (namely due to the big cave structure). I also read that the production can't film there anymore, so maybe that's behind the change. Shame, as I like the look better than D'Qar.

What was the location they used to film Segra Milo, and how come they can't film there anymore?

 

Dorset. Severe weather rendered filming impossible there during S1 production, forcing them to stop. And then I heard somewhere that they wouldn’t be returning due to the difficulty. The main problem being heavy rain and landslides.

 

First thing I thought when watching this preview, was that Lothal. Lack of loth cats in the wheat/grass indicates it may not be. I don't really have a clear reference for Dantooine coming to mind.

 

Looks more like Lothal to me. I think Mace battled on Dantooine in the Clone Wars micro-series, but it was very short grass. Most video game depictions of Dantooine include trees and greenish grass.

The Siennar Advanced Tie Fighter is making me sure this is Lothal. I can see Cassian stealing one of the new tie fighters, which is another tie into Rebels.

 

So hoping for some rebels characters even if they don't really fit the style. Think we could see Hera and zeb and Ezra maybe but think I'd be shocked

 

I'd be shocked to see the Ghost Crew as well, but it's a time, place, and activity fit. The Rebellion knew about the new tie because of Sabine. I can see her doing a cameo. We also have Mon Mothma escaping after her Ghorman speech with the Rebels. But you are correct, it somehow doesn't seem a fit for Andor.

 

All I want is a reference to their activities

 

Yeah there are ways to do link ins which can fit tonally and not overshadow the show. Of course, this would be difficult if you bring in Jedi but still, the show runners have done a great job of making Star Wars really fit the realms of realism, so I am sure if anyone could pull it off they could.

On a random potential tie in note, they could bring in Omega, Rex or both easily.

 

Well I am assuming when Cassian and Mon Mothma escape Coruscant, that they will at the very least mention the Ghost crew.

 

I wonder if the show might open with the empire hitting back at Ferrix and if that is what the call for help is at the start of the second trailer.

 

Nearly all peoples of the world are speculating that the call for help is from Ghorman. Preceding the Ghorman Massacre.

 

I know, I'm just speculating.
