I don't believe that is a tie advanced. It looks very different - much more like the TIE avenger.

I believe you may be correct. It's the "bad" one as Zeb would say.

It makes sense that Saw doesn't stay in one place for too long, he's hunted by the Empire, he's made enemies within the Rebel Alliance, enemies who'd give him away if they thought it would benefit the Rebellion.

TIE Avenger was just a nickname, it was always called the TIE Advanced. Vader's TIE was a prototype that varied significantly from the production model (which got the Avenger nickname).

In LucasArts' X-Wing and TIE Fighter games from the 1990s, the TIE Advanced starfighters look like Vader's TIE fighter from the movie in X-Wing, but like the other design (with cutouts fore and aft in the middle section of the wings) in TIE Fighter. I recall hearing that one of the artists on the game (Martin Cameron?) simply didn't like the look of Vader's TIE fighter in the film and changed it up a bit when they made the second game.

X-Wing ends with the Battle of Yavin and TIE Fighter starts just after Hoth, so it could perhaps be explained in "canon" as a change in design in the intervening period.

They wouldn't be beholden to the Jedi element. For instance, there are two periods (in Rebels S4) when Hera's at the Yavin base while most or all of the others are elsewhere, so I think she could absolutely fit in here.

For sure and she is mentioned by name in Rogue One anyway as well as the Ghost being in the final battle, so Hera specifically will be in it, I am almost 100% sure but I'm interested to see if anyone else of the crew is as well.

It would be the clever thing to do but as there was almost zero fan service in season one it may not be the most Gilroy thing to do. Id like a sprinkling of sightings and mentions tho

Just how wrong would it be to have a quick Chopper / K2S0 encounter.

My sources tell me that Mara Jade is in this, and she will be played by Academy Award nominee Felicity Jones

Technically we got to see that snipit of season 1 episode three on the big screen after the Rogue One special screening. But I would love to see an episode on the big screen.

The trailer and special look both look amazing. The trailer music did throw me off a bit, but has grown on me and fits (like the major Tom for SC).

This has a feeling that we are gonna get everything covered that we would hope for. There should be enough time for it. I'm happy to see the partisans including Moroff. I'd expect to see Bail Organa at some point. He will definitely need to be de-aged as he looked older in OWK than RO.
    Lothal or Dantooine...or both..so awesome!
The intrigue, the danger, the suspense! Can't wait for this show. Probably my favorite of all shows.

I kinda feel like I'm waiting for new movies not a TV show!
Oh to see it on a big screen

It does have that feel to it. Not sure why it feels different than The Acolyte, or Skeleton Crew, but it does...and it feels like this is going to be huge.

I hope we not only get an episode in theaters, but make it not a one day thing at only a handful of theaters, make it larger. Why not another tv ABC episode? I missed the last one. And please let's do some type of fun promotion! Maybe a free Krennic wind up toy in Honey Nut Cheerios or a fast food Andor meal (not the Home Chef SC poster promo which it seemed no one got), Moroff touthbrush, some Andor 3.75 figure line Hasbro, let's do this!

Of all the possible cameos, Bail Organa seems central to the Rebellion planning. They could, of course, just ignore Rebels altogether, but it seems wrong to ignore their contributions.

Bail Organa is arguably more important then Mon Mothma in the Grand scheme. He is known as the Father of the Rebellion.

Maybe because we know its going to lead right in to Rogue One. Its got the Death Star, Krennic, Saw, Mon Mothma, K2 in there, so theres the movie continuity. Plus theres the potential for Tarkin, The Emperor and Vader too. But not only that the look and feel of this show is more epic IMO. Even the latest poster looks cinematic.

Good points. I would expect to see Bail, but it won't be much due to his age and the amount of cgi that may need to be done. I'm the type that wouldn't mind seeing him with just makeup to look younger as long as he's able to then he should be out there. A scene with him in Coruscant with Mon Mothma. A scene with him giving his appreciation of Cassian's work. Have the droids with him.
Disney should plan to have the last episode of Andor S2 in theaters followed by Rogue One.

    This would be amazing
Would also be amazing to have a scene on alderaan with:Bail, droids and captain Antilles..tho I guess that could happen in Yavin like in Rogue one

Good interview with Gilroy here. The most notable thing is that the buildup and aftermath of the Ghorman massacre will occur over 5 episodes. I imagine it's similar to how the season 1 episode "Announcement" was both an aftermath of the Aldhani heist arc and a prologue to the Narkina 5 prison arc.

Bail, Mon and Luthen chatting methodology would be great. Could even throw Saw in at the point that they all realise their philosophies are different.
