These are things only Star Wars haters see. On the other hand, the truth is that Andor is a critical success, among fans, and probably financially as well. There were two links above that confirm this.

The death of Star Wars has been constantly being talked about by haters since 1983, but it just won't happen.

Even Empire wasn't universally loved on release...time and generations needs to pass for star wars to be fully appreciated

Exactly. A good example of this is the perception of PT. The same will happen with the sequels.

Not convinced the same will happen with the sequels but this isn't the thread for that discussion.

She was literally in the middle of a mission fighting the Empire and supporting an insurgency.

She was shot by a member of her own team who disobeyed orders and they were robbing something that wasn't being defended. The Empire was letting them do it. They all could have been killed or captured, they were permitted to get away.

I guess some of us have different opinions on what going down fighting is.

You say that as if they knew the Empire was letting them do it. She was on active duty. If that's not fighting..

You wanted her to die in a bar brawl?

Is this like a version of Trump’s “soldiers who die in war are losers or suckers?” Or the “died like a chump” attitude that infects the fandom? Yes, we know that the mission is the result of an imperial setup, and that Cinta is killed by friendly fire. But that doesn’t change the fact that she was fighting the Empire. After all, she didn’t know it was a setup, and so was actively helping the Ghorman Front fight the Empire in that operation. And she died while doing so.

Are soldiers who die in ambushes set up by enemy fighters lesser because they didn’t go down fighting on their terms? No. It’s war. And soldiers in war die in all kinds of ways, and most often not in the way of their choosing.

This show is about the collective struggle of a group of people that decide to defy the Empire. It’s not some hyper-individualistic wish-fulfillment fantasy where each of the characters go out in glory. It’s Cinta’s decision to fight the Empire, and risk her life doing so, that makes her a hero. Not the manner of her death.

No actively in a battle, or fighting her way of a predicament of some sort would have been preferable to me. You don't have to get angry because someone doesn't agree with you.

Just not in the way I would have hoped. She was my favorite character on the show.

Disney has been damaging it's brand hardly with both SW sequels, Acolyte and live-action remakes like Mulan and Snow White especially was like shooting oneself to foot by bazooka really...

Star Wars is not in good place due to decisions made in last decade. Andor is shining bright among mediocre and downright bad Star Wars material and most fans and general audiences agree about this. Many people don't still want to buy Disney plus just for one good show though...

Goofy but humanizing thing I noticed about Davo Sculdun in these last three episodes - he’s a genuine nerd and lover of his art and artifact collection, and *that* is actually the problem he brings to this arc rather than his business dealings.

He ain’t no Phil Collins, just collecting stuff someone told him was from the Alamo and refusing to ask questions about it - Sculdun’s educating himself on everything about his collection and invested in it enough to freak out when just one piece is found to be fake.

And apparently Luthen knew that, since from all appearances, he appears to have sold Sculdun only authentic artifacts, even if he bugged one anyways,

I don't think so though. Not everything gets a cult following.

Not as a whole but i think TLJ will have a cult following. And movies post TROS and shows in Sequel era will make the movies not as hated

I think I figured out the underlaying issue I have with Andor. I don't buy it as a prequel to ANH. I just don't.
