Is Rey really the face and future of Star Wars know and can she pull it off ?

Considering there’s at least two other Star Wars films releasing before this one, both of which do not have Rey as the lead, I think it’s fair to say they’re isn’t a specific “face of the franchise”, but if there was right now, it’s probably Grogu.

Could Rey pull it off? Honestly, probably. Just needs a good movie with a good script. There was Rey Fever after TFA. It could happen again.

 

Well Grogu is a puppet, if we take one human character it be Rey. This movie has alot of going against and for it

 

I mean, in a certain way, aren't we all puppets?

If Nute Gunray pulled it off Rey can as well.

Nute Gunray is literally one of the three most popular characters in Star Wars. Bid action figures have sold more than Darth Maul, Darth Vader and Grogu combined. How do you know know that?

 

I mean Nute Gunray was the main villain of the whole saga by taxing the Naboo system

 

Disney doesn’t want a face of the franchise. A face of the franchise means limiting and dependency. That doesn’t allow a milking machine to pump out content that’s all seen as equal.

i think this is a concept that’s likely going to confuse fans who believed there would be one focal point moving forward.

 

Well, no single focal points besides Nute Gunray, obviously.

Nope. Grogu has morę resonance within popular culture... but ultimately it depends on how well Mando and Grogu do on the big screen... If that film isn't a big hit, then all bets are off. If it's successful, there will be a clamour to get Grogu in a new film.
