I hate the thing where Democrats (and Bernie Sanders) pretend Trump and/or Musk have a good point about this funding or this tax incentive or whatever and then try to make it about a "real" problem. It doesn't work, guys! You're just legitimizing these freaks!

Maybe Newsom wants that, I dunno.

@blackmyron Newsom also said the tariffs were illegal (which they are). He ended it if Trump ever enacted them, the state would immediately sue him/the administration in court. So like Whitmer, he is trying to play both sides. One day, they are hugging him, and then the next, they are saying Trump is causing a constitutional crisis. That is why I prefer JB, who tells Trump to stick it up his fat orange butt all day/everyday. For once, having a ton of money is useful. Unlike Newsom and especially Whitmer, JB doesn't have to think about life after the office whenever it comes. He is worth just under $4 billion.

Ran it through the Trump translator twice now. Still comes out, "WTH is he talking about?"

I read 101 stories about Biden's mental fitness whenever he paused at a press conference because the man is a stutterer, but I have yet to read anything from the "legacy press" about whether Trump is all with it. He isn't and hasn't been for a long time.

All the MSM press right now is going on about how they didn't do enough reporting on Biden's decline during his term, while they do exactly the same action right now.

Apparently Trump's sudden obsession with Alcatraz is because... he just saw the Alcatraz movie that Clint Eastwood was in.

He's not wrong, though. If Trump had lost or just kept his mouth shut there'd be a Conservative majority in Canada right now.

@blackmyron Trump is much, much, much worse, though. Biden was like Eddie Harris in Major League. He lost the zip on his fastball and resorted to other methods to get batters out:

Trump is playing a game by himself in an empty, abandoned little park, but thinks it's real and then pouts when told it isn't. Please see what he said today for details:

    https://bsky.app/profile/carlquintanilla.bsky.social/post/3lojekyyw3k2g

Nobody is calling, so now he is pouting. Bessent even admitted they haven't spoken to China yet, and he is supposed to be the "lead negotiator" on it while Crazy Uncle Howard is the rest of the world. Hence, nothing is getting done other than driving Japan and China together. Again, who knew Trump would make the world so great? :D

Biden's team actively tried to hide his decline, even though it was still painfully obvious, while Trump is simply allowed to post whatever pops into his three remaining brain cells and talk to cameras without a teleprompter. It's crazy that so many ostensibly objective reporters are still pretending there's anything rational or coherent about what the head of this administration does, or worse, they think it's some masterful 4D chess plan. The first prominent reporter to outright state that he's just a stupid old rich guy with worsening dementia is going to be treated as someone brave.

Yeah, that checks out. There’s two kinds of policies for this administration, the stuff the heritage foundation slides over his desk and whatever stream of consciousness nonsense leaks out of his dementia addled brain any given day.

    Carney shut it down repeatedly.

As you know from real estate, there are some places that are never for sale,” he said, drawing a begrudging “that’s true” from Trump before Carney carried on.

“We’re sitting in one right now. You know, Buckingham Palace that you visited as well,” he continued, as Trump nodded another “true.”

“And having met with the owners of Canada over the course of the campaign last several months, it’s not for sale,” he concluded. “It won’t be for sale ever.”

Before arriving at the White House, Carney also sought to send the message by announcing an upcoming visit from King Charles III, Canada’s official head of state, using the sovereign to make the point that Canada’s sovereignty wasn’t up for debate.

Those messages, if he’s heard them, have not caused Trump to back off, not even when sitting across from Carney in the Oval Office.

“Never say never,” Trump shrugged, as Carney mouthed the word “never” over and over next to him. “I’ve had many, many things that were not doable, and they ended up being doable, and only doable in a very friendly way.”

The meeting ended somewhat abruptly with Trump declaring the US did not need Canadian cars or steel, and that there was nothing Carney could say or do that would cause him to lift tariffs.

“Just the way it is,” Trump said.

Trump has to have his final word "we'll see" nonsense because his brain is mush and he has a full diaper. He can't even say that 200 billion subsidies which is unbelievable nonsense. And he keeps saying "we don't need anything from Canada" (when Ford threatened to pull power he certainly freaked out) and now he's adding a creepy except friendship line. That single statement doesn't even make sense and he contradicting himself in one breath

Could have been worse but I'm just surprised Carney held back and didn't just bitch slap him

Somehow, trying to ban abortion returned.

One of the most disturbing things in the report is equating contraindications with adverse events; namely, the false statement that mifepristone causes ectopic pregnancies, when in fact it is merely contraindicated to be used in them. The blatant misrepresentation of facts is terrifying.

As a medical professional, we are seeing more and more interference in evidence based guidelines because feelings.

And that’s not good for anyone.

There's no way in high heaven with the current administration and Republicans backing them that peaceful impeachment and lawful removal of Trump is ever going to happen. The fat fascist orange diaper dementia #%@ is starting a loyalty day. And fascists don't remove willingly. It'd have to be a J6 that actually works and definitely some people on the inside that hand Trump and his cronies over. Unbelievable but impeachment Is even less likely. This isn't a normal political mechanism. He's a fascist. Only way to stop them is violence, everything else doesn't work.

Once enough people start losing all their money and especially starving, which is where it happens, then a revolt against Trump is a more likely solution than anything in "American Democracy" actually removing Him. Whatever election result against him and Republicans would be considered invalid. There's no way that the solution would be as simple as "Oh we elect DemmyCrats and everything will be peachy again." It's a broke system and America is over with. Nah dah. Nothing left to fix or save.

@Vaderize03 Their "kill list" is gay marriage, abortion, birth control, and civil rights. They want a white christian authoritarian society that is ruled by the minority.

    https://bsky.app/profile/societyschild.bsky.social/post/3lojzklj2hc2w

@BigAl6ft6 Trump only leaves office as a corpse or is dragged out by an angry mob. That is certainly guaranteed.

I must admit, Harvard has done some of the best trolling of Trump and his band of stupid goons. Always remember the Harvard Lampoon pulled an absolute prank on him:

    https://theweek.com/speedreads/5698...-magazine-pulled-elaborate-prank-donald-trump

Meanwhile, the administration is suddenly changing its tune on China:

    https://www.cnbc.com/2025/05/06/trump-trade-china-switzerland-tariffs.html

Funny what empty shelves (which are guaranteed now as the shipments coming in from China are half full,l therefore inventory is going to be scarce this summer and most likely thru Christmas as Trump and his dopes have until June to figure it out as that is the make or break line for the holiday season) and India + Pakistan causing a international crisis as they look to be heading to a wide conflict (and one of my favorite college professors who I had for several courses had a strong belief backed up by a lot of research that World War III would start with India & Pakistan over water, it was chilling to listen to 25+ years ago, it's even more chilling to think about it now) suddenly has pushed one half of the moron twins (Ludnick being the other) to the bargaining deal.

But we all know how this will end. Trump will blow up any type of agreement they have with a couple crazy media posts, first try to blame Biden and then eventually blame the moron twins which he already starting to do saying they weren't "killers who could get a tremendous deal done quickly" like he could. I think Bessent understands that he will get blamed for the empty shelves this summer. Lutnick, on the other hand, is completely insane, so he will be blindsided and, even crazier, will take out whatever Trump gives him and say, "thank you".

@anakinfansince1983 Some mildly good news out of your neck of the woods:

    https://bsky.app/profile/carlquintanilla.bsky.social/post/3lolkrbqox22r

Only took *checks watch* seven months on something that should have taken a few days at most. Definitely was a trial balloon to see how much the GOP could get away with it. They almost did.

And I know I am biased, but I really enjoy my governor:

Cosplayed Dog Killer Barbie will see see more protesters than supporters, and she is only in Springfield. Imagine if she tried her clown act in Chicago.

Edit: And don't look now, but Crazy Nancy Mace is on the warpath against all gender restrooms:

    https://bsky.app/profile/patriottakes.bsky.social/post/3lolgviouus2q

Do she and her sociopaths think that eventually all bathrooms will be "gender neutral" with open doors and stalls that reach the ground for privacy? As it is, that is a single-person occupant bathroom. It would make sense to make them gender neutral, so it's first-come/, first-served basis aka keep the line moving.

I guess anything to distract the rubes. Right now, Trump is sitting around watching cable news all morning and raging insanity, as he is exhausted from yesterday since he had three meetings that took maybe about 5 hours. Typically, he only works about 2-3 hours, so yesterday was a big jump for him. Needs a day off to recoup before working a couple of hours tomorrow and then skip town Friday to go golfing for a long weekend at Crap-a-Lago.

The thing is, the conservatives that control the Florida state government know that 'climate change' is real, because they're watching it happen. The problem is that:
    a) acknowledging it as 'real' is woke and they all publicly deny it - especially anything related to humans being the primary contributor
    b) they want to have as little regulations as possible to encourage businesses to come here
    c) people are already not moving here - and moving away - over the lack of the ability to get home insurance
Their solution is to throw money after the fact on 'mitigation'... but because money is tight, they try to do more with appearing like they are doing a lot rather than actually do something. Also, trying their best to normalize situations like the 'king tides' that flood downtown Miami.
Epic Universe was already way too hot in April. Summer will be a nightmare for the theme parks.
